Hey guys, been lurking here since about 2010... have finally become has guns rather than air rifle fag. In middle earth and want to hunt so ended up finding a slightly used A bolt in 270 for $800 middle earth dollars which is really cheap, for here. but not for you Americans obviously.

It's a nikko sterling 3-9 x 40. It's pretty meh that, be nice on a .22 when I have the $ for a scope upgrade and suppressor. Easy suppression might be the best thing about nz's gun laws: no need for registration/stamps etc. If you want it, you buy it and put it on. job done :)

You can own pretty much anything in NZ if you have the correct class of license, don't mind spending huge swathes of money and can get the permit to procure, though with police attitudes souring over the last year or so, things are getting a bit shit here.
With the new police commissioner in, police HQ have started pouring taxpayer money into pushing overbearing gun control law changes and have already started acting as if their wishlist of changes were already law.
How well Kiwi shooters fight back is going to decide whether we go the way of Aus in the next couple of years.
