No I have had this about 2 years actually.

It had a rough start with a few ftrb's. I'm guessing the lower barrel lug to slide stop fit was too tight. After 250 rounds it never had an issue.
Feeds Winchester pdx1s just fine too.
Been very happy with it now that it's worked the kinks out, 1911s man, I tell ya.

To be honest with you, though, I'm not a fan of the hollow points. Call me old fashioned, but the idea really gets my spine tingling. If the army says hollow point is a war crime I sure as hell don't want to use it on an American. You hit an attacker with a single 45 FMJ and there's low odds he's going to be any more trouble, no matter how determined he is. Tho I really don't consider some common criminal 6 months out of foster care robbing a gas station with a 38 he's never fired to be that a formidable an opponent.

Yeah I can understand that sentiment, I actually have no problems with fmj 45 except for penetrating walls being more likely and possibly hitting bystanders.
Shot placement is what counts and I shoot my Colt pretty well.
A significantly large number of self defense incidents with firearms are ended after 3 shots or less, according to fbi statistics. So I'm not at all bothered by having 7 rounds, if I'm carrying I have spare mags and I'm trying to leave the area and evade the threat, if I'm home I have rifles.
Just my two cents.

Well it's a 1917 dated remington m1917 service rifle. It was technically the secondary rifle of the US during the First World War, but ended up being made and used in greater numbers than the m1903 Springfield.
