Oh pshaw. CS does produce some mall ninja-tier stuff, but if it sells, why shouldn't they? They produce some genuinely good knives, and nobody in their right mind pays MSRP for them when you can reliably get them for half of that at Amazon or Knife Center.

To answer your question OP, they get hate for two main reasons. First, because their products are inexpensive so buyers cant be in some super secret club. Second, because they make a lot of off the wall impractical/fantasy/edgy mallninja stuff that young autists eat up.

I personally like them as a company because they have some pretty decent stuff for good prices.

The fags here don't like other fags that like things that are not "guns" since a sword isn't a weapon. Also, Cold Steel's swords are said to be heavy compared to their historical counterparts, but I don't have any so I can't really confirm. Some of the cheaper knives are fine, though, and the trainers are fun to mess around with a buddy.
