Hey everyone. I started getting interested in EDC knives (and EDC gear in general) recently. I'm looking for a nice folding pocket knife that isn't crazy expensive and is safe for someone who doesn't have much experience with folding knives.
I have been look around for awhile and found the Ontario Rat 1 knife in D2 steel. It's at a great price on Amazon and I've heard a lot of good things about it, and I was wondering what everyone thinks about the knife and whether I should buy it or not. Advice is appreciated.

I love mine, the price is great too.

Yeah the price is really alluring. How long have you been carrying it?
>>34202344
about four ish months now. Replaced the aus 8 rat 1 I had.
>>34202389
Nice nice. I'm sure the edge is holding up much better!

Beautiful piece of work there, but what's the price like? Looks very expensive.
>>34202421
About 100 bucks
>>34202270
yes, I used one heavily it held up
>>34202450
That's a bit out of my price range unfortunately, but it is a very good looking blade.
>>34202455
Nice! Looks like thats the one I'll be getting I guess. Thanks very much!

Kershaw Skyline then

I have the older Rat 2 with the plastic grips
I love it to death but had to retire it because the pocket clip is too wobbly.
>inb4 tighten
one or more of the screw holes is bored out so the screw(s)(?) don't fit properly.

How long before the clip broke? And that's a shame, hope you get another.

It def is. I got the wicked edge, so I can easily and quickly resharoen the d2 with ease.

Save your pennies and buy the best, a COLD STEEL ESPADA XL WITH POLISHED G10 SCALES AND ALUMINUM BOLSTERS.
Ok guys, ive fallen for the SOCP meme but want to look at other options before I commit my shekels. I want a few knives of this design to hide on my kit, not to be my main working knife. Requirements: skeletonized knife, draw/finger ring, not a karambit. Im also looking at hideaway knives/hack knife.
pic related, united cutlery undercover. im no knife expert but the shape of this blade seems ridiculous, what are better options?
Looking for pocket bling or something you're not afraid to actually use?
Minimalist. Have had one of these attached to my belt for over a year now. It's a great little knife.
Get a german Mercator. Simple, light, carbon steel, just what you expect from a light and cheap edc
What are other good small tanto blade knives like the kershaw shuffle 2 that fit the under $50 price tag ?
I don't really like the design on the grip.
>>34204708
I kinda want one, but I hate this shit.
>>34204920
Yeah the shuffle isn't very visually appealing to me. I'd prefer a knife thats more timeless, like a simple drop point. Tantos look cool and all and are functional but eventually will get old to look at.
>>34204481
Looks interesting. I have kind of weird hands so I would like to stay away from knives that are designed with specific indexing in mind.

>attached to my belt for over a year now
does that mean you've never used it for anything?
also: looks pretty faggy m8
Are Moraknivs good enough to EDC? they seem really appealing for the price to me
