Not mine, but love to see other anon's comp guns.

You have to love how the tactical guys have been low key bootlegging the 3 gun crowd for decades now.
The Rowland Special is the latest example
>>34202486
What ate you talking about.
>>34202523
The new tactical Glock flavor is the "Rowland Special" but anyone who ever shot USPSA or IPSC can see that it's just a shortened competition pistol.

Stop talking like a nigger.
In case you didn't notice, competition is supposed to advance the art. There's no irony, there's no theft, you're just noticing what has been obvious to everyone else from day one.
Rowland is a fucking imbecile who NDd while drunk handling his glock into a relatives leg. Putting a light, dot sight and compensator onto a block doesn't need to immediately become some guys "special."
Best race guns are 9mm 1911's riced out anyway.

>Best race guns are 9mm 1911's riced out anyway.
Are you referring to 9x25 Dillon or just not USPSA? Almost all the top race guns are 40sw
>>34202927
whats good about 40s&w i thought everyone always says its shit
>>34202947
It is, but for meeting USPS major, it's what most people use. To load 9x19 into major power factor you're looking at kabooms. Now I've got a 2011 race gun in 40 and a G20 in 10mm (but shoot 40). Still like 9mm more, to be honest.
>>34202947
It's for a larger diameter hole on the target. Leading edge scores the points
>>34202947
In Limited, 10mm/.40 is minimum caliber for major.
>>34202969
>>34202976
For open you can make major with 9 mm

I don't see why the "ultimate tactical gun" wouldn't incorporate features from the "ultimate competition gun"
Obviously slide cuts and giant red dots on handguns don't make sense but stuff like a flared magwell and stippling makes sense to me if price is no object
>>34203825
red dots actually make a lot of sense, but the tech needs to get a lot more mature before it will be reliable for daily carry, for most people.
If you're willing to work around a few quirks, red dots on handgats are great for daily carry now.
My favorite LGS monkeys all carry with some form of red dot or holo optic.
>soober tactical race guns
Either taking this or the beginning of a mk12 to my next 2gun event
>>34203874
so where is the other gun?
>>34203881
My FNX, need to get a light cut holster for it and a belt system at some point
>>34203890
>blue
>tape
REEEEEEE
>>34203904
And I keep it on there permanently
>>34203861
most people cowitness it with irons so worst case scenario is you just have a glass frame around your irons when you draw anyway
oh yeah, forgot to add my Limited blaster.
i've been meaning to get a Production Unicorn gun (P320 X-5? Stock II?) too since 9mm is cheap, and since i don't reload it's annoying having your gun choke on SAAMI-spec OAL .40. leaning toward the P320 since i like my full size.
>>34202486
>>34202592
you're not supposed to stipple the backstrap, from halfway up the trigger guard all the way up the beavertail. see the OP.
It's so when you grip the weapon the web of your thumb can slide to the highest point before stopping and gripping to draw.

>>34202592
You're an idiot. Rowland is a 460 or 960 pistol round and Roland is not any top dog, you could build that yourself cheaper. Not even close to zev or non glock platforms.
>>34202592
that article makes no fucking sense, slide travel is based on cartridge length. the slide will cycle faster since it's lighter than a 34/17's, but those are two different measurements.
there have been short Open pistols for a while. Atlas put out a video on theirs:
