I don't have a pic, so I'll leave a dead. And you tell me how ingenious it is.

Step 1: tie a string to an anchor/spike/support, then a stick
Step 2: place the stick so it props a box open
Step 3: leave your dakimakaru inside the box
Step 4: wait behind a box
Step 5: Profit
Step 6: Run in the nineties
Step 7: ???

The simplest and most iconic trap.
Here's an example, modified for the majority of America.

The Germans developed a trap specifically for English officer. They would demolish all the houses in the area, but leave one house relatively untouched. The British officers would use it as a command post. They would pack explosives into a wall and cover the ignition device as a picture or portrait which was left crooked. The British would pack into the building and inevitably one of them would straighten out to picture. At least that was their estimation.

It worked more then it should have.
