What would it take to convert an m57 tokarev to 9x19 parabellum? I've been looking around online and getting a variety of answers. Some say all you need is a new barrel, others say you need a new barrel, bushing, magazine spacer and recoil spring. Any help is much appreciated

What is the cost of all that compared to a Tok already in 9mm?

I'm 20, so I can't buy handguns from an ffl yet, and private sales offer limited selection. I love my tok and just want to be able to shoot it cheaply (cheapest 7.62x25 where I live is $19/50).

I have a baby tokarev in 9mm and honestly they're so cheap (and will likely stay that cheap) I'd just wait it out until you can get one
Given the cost of refitting yours, the effort, and the inherent unreliability of changing calibers I'd just be patient and get one that's already chambered for 9mm
