I've never done it before. What do you wear. The fudds on hunting forums say that ghillie suits are best, but my asshole state requires a shitton of solid hunter orange.
What's a good alternative?

Some animals don't even see orange that we'll.
Don't look like a human, don't smell like a human, and don't make noises.
Every state requires orange. But if you camouflaged well who will know? Just carry it with you and wear it when you leave in case deputy bumpkin sees you

Deer don't see the orange, best pattern probably orange with so.e sort of break up or forest pattern on it.
Also, have come across deer several times just walking slowly and taking a 5 minute break near a log every 50 steps or so. Being calm and slow is important

The only color deer see extremely well is blue
look that shit up
>don't wear blue

Don't get spotted by anyone

Wouldn't the solid mass of color stand out though? Wouldn't it look really weird to a deer to see a weird uninterrupted patch of grey mixed with the foliage?

This guy is wrong about every state requiring that gay shit, but he's right about taking it off when you post up.

they were calm as fuck because there was no hunting pressure in the area. Deer get habituated to humans just like any animal
Ive never actually needed to wear camo, I hunt my shit in high country and farm land. I wear what's comfy, I can easily get within 100m in a sweater, jeans and gumboots. It doesn't really matter all that much.

Rub some mud on it. Or just don't wear it, who the fucks going to care?

Hunting white tail I can offer this.
1. They smell 10 times better than us. Don't hunt down wind.
2. Deer see 3 times worse than us. It is better to be quiet, and be still. They can detect movement better than anything, regardless of what you're wearing.

Is this one of those laws that people ignore all the time but never get caught?
