I prefer to have as few extra features as possible. All but 1 of my guns are iron sights because the 1 doesn't have any. Also just got a scope mount for my garand so that'll have glass shortly too.

Because I used the scope I had (Bushnell Phantom) on an handrolled AR-7 barrel, just for shits and grins.

it is so stupid fun to shoot a hammer forged stainless tubed AR-7 with a LER scope that I eventually sold the Model 19 the scope once mounted on.
