Bushmaster was one of the best back in the day. Then they got bought out by Freedom Group and quality went down the drain. Windham brought the old crew back together and quality is really good. Though in a world of $400 ARs their $800-900 starting point is kind of hard for some to swallow.

Small company about 5 min were I used to go to collage in Windham, Maine. Make AR15s, seen some with wood grips and forgrip. They actually had a range near my old school that I went and shot at. Very good folks, went and BS'ed with one of the employees for about 2 hours. One of my inlaws bought one of their guns as a starter AR. Seems like they are getting quite popular up here in Maine.
