Mayflower APC w/D3CR or Ferro Slickster with D3CR

Not set on D3CR though

Belt with 1xAR mag, 2x Pistol, 1x BFG micro trauma kit and my G17 in my SLS low ride level II

Currently have VTAC rigger belt, but sort of want under/overbelt setup to quickly dump the belt

Any belt Rec other than Ronin? More rigid always mo' better for me

i own peltor range guards.

i was specifically talking about communication headsets anot electronic hearing protection. I need something that works better when paired with my radio. The range guards are too quiet and the audio only plays in one ear and the cables aare no optimal for it. i don't have money for comtacs and i don't think the airshit versions are would be good at the noise cancelling side.

Nah, the one in that pic was a contract top made by Tru-Spec for NSW before Crye combat shirts became the new standard. Some guy on ebay had 'em new for $30 a pop, so I snagged 3 of them.
I just pulled the squares for rank and trident.
I have had a few modded by a friend of mine who is the head seamstress for a local uniform shop. The most I do is remove the pockets ahead of time and source the velcro.
I would kinda like to snag one of the Tru-Spec shirts in M81.

kinda? like if you're in a situation where you're wearing a combat shirt you probably are wearing armor over it, so why not wear camo if you're already overt as fuck?

you're really not gonna greyman it out with a combat shirt and imo with multicam and both flavors of MARPAT readily available i see no reason to wear solid colors for overt operating

>>34193887
I don't know your or your "mission" so I can't reccomend anything, but basically the idea of running a plate carrier with with a carrier attached is the two main features

Covert - if your in a covert situation you can wear a slick plate carrier under a coat or something and remain covert, once shit goes south you can remove a jacket and simply clip on the chest rig. Maybe you have that rig stashed in your bag or something.

Overt - the ability to have a kit that is interchangeable. I suppose you could use different rigs for what ever your mission or weapon set up was. Maybe you own 10 rifles and each magazine size is different. Well this option would give you the oppertunity to change out rigs based on mission requirements.

Overall it's a nice feature to have, but there's a small niche market for it in actual use
>>

>>
>>34196210
I get the overall premise behind it, and I have 545,556, and 762 rifles. I obviously can only use the kangaroo pouch for 556 mags so I figured some kind of molle carrier that I could attach to my 6094 with my crye mag pouches would allow for consistency in placement across the different mag types. I also like the idea of being able to use it slick with a H harness and wanted to pick y'alls collective brain on the swiftclip+pc idea, considering its not a purpose built swift clip PC like a Mayflower for Velocity sys.

>>
>>34196481
really not a big deal if the ceramics get wet desu. the new NIJ 0101.06 standard requires that the armor be immersed completely in water prior to ballistic testing. Prior to the the Army test protocol for the ESAPI plates required water immersion.

yeah i see your zip dumbass, it's not urethane coated like the Mystery Ranch, hence it's not actually water resistant. it also happens to come attached to a pack with shit buckles and that stupid painted slider.

the point being that i've broken better buckles very easily, so im not using any shit chink buckles on a pack. And mystery ranch specifically uses the black zip cause nobody made a urethane coated tan one until very recently, and now they're switching over to it. Your tan-painted slider is probably chipping like a motherfucker and revealing shiny metal underneath too.

>it's YKK zippers. yes they are painted but the zipper metal underneat is a dull grey.
i know. Mystery ranch specifically uses the black YKK zips and not the tan ones because they're enameled and not painted, so they don't chip.

Just more examples that they've put more thought than you could ever imagine into their designs.

Great info, my dude. Thank you. Equipnor is now known as Norsegear (Norwegian here, obviously), and I've purchased a lot of stuff from them (including optics, plate carriers etc.) but I never saw that pattern on Crye gear before.

Only thing I have is this ARES piece, but it doesn't really compare.

Found one on the Norwegian ebay, literally twice the price for a USED pair https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=97901829

I have a pair myself, but it's rare to find good combat clothing nowadays in N-kamo, so I can understand why people wanna keep them.

Bought it off a Frank who bought it off of someone from Telemark iirc.

They made combat pants, field shirts and field pants. Very expensive, much exclusive.

Is the poncho the ultimate operator rain layer?
>Worn over top of tactical gear so you don't have to remove plate carrier/chest rig/whatever to don & doff it
>Faster to don/doff than jacket
>Also covers backpack, eliminating the need to carry additional backpack cover
>Can be used to make shelter, eliminating need to carry tent
>Breaks up human outline like a ghillie suit, providing additional camouflaging
>You can conceal rifle & gear underneath poncho, allowing for sneakier operations on civilian trails

Yeah the belt is TYR, I'm not sure if any other manufacturers have even made Mas Grey besides LBT, for sure way harder to find. So far I haven't had any color matching problems (although most of my gear ranges on the more expensive side, I'm sure if you got something cheap it would show), with that being said the only real noticeable thing is some companies do ranger green buckles, some do tan. Doesn't really bother me, but yeah.

Also the TYR belt is OD and the webbing is ranger green. Idk why they did it, it's not really noticeable with the webbing, but on the slick parts you can tell it's OD. Just something to know. Not a big deal.

So you're saying that not being able to access actually anything you're carrying is a good thing? And if it's raining so much you need a poncho, that you have to take it off in order to do anything besides stand and walk?
Also, you never wear a backpack under a poncho, and most packs have their own separate covers for just this purpose
Since its clear that you've never gone outside before you shouldn't think too deeply about your cosplay fantasies
>conceal rifle
You should consider moving to Australia, there you pretty much have to fully disassemble your guns and store each part in an individual locked safe to which you give the keys to your local PD and you have to break down your maximum alloted 10 rounds and store the bullets, powder, and cases in separate cities. How shit would it look to have a black Micro Fight clipped to a ranger green JPC 2.0? I have a black Crye MOLLE belt with an HSGI belt and pad that I use for recreational pistol shooting that I use as the base of my gear (Blue Force Micro Trauma Kit, dump pouch, pistol mags, holster). I got the Micro Fight to match it, but now I'm thinking of going with a ranger green JPC 2.0 for a PC and clipping the Micro Fight in when I want plates. The JPC in ranger green already has black components on it, so maybe if I put ranger green patches on the Micro Fight Panel it wouldn't look as shit?

>>
>>34193749

>>
>>34201196
...I think I'm going to roll with it. Black MOLLE belt, RG JPC 2.0, Black Micro Fight, and the largest size Crye Smart Pouch in RG on the back for hydro. All over civvie clothes. US Marshall aesthetic?
>>
>>34201246
Pretty much, I mean the JPC will be the most expensive item. So Id get it in RG, and if you decide that you like RG better, than later you can replace the other stuff if it bothers you.
>>
>>34201155
Anyone?
>>
>>34201322
I figured as much. I'm sticking with the black MOLLE belt, though. It lets me carry essential pistol gear (IFAK, mags, holster, cleaning kit, and water bottles/boxes of 9mm in the dump pouch) at the range efficiently but doesn't get me any weird glances since it just looks like a competition belt.
>>
Alright, so I see a lot of talk about the JPC and JPC 2. Can I use a Velocity Systems elastic cummerbund on a JPC? I just like the elastic better since it has nothing that can snag on shit and my experience with MOLLE and skeletonized cummerbunds has been absolute shit. Every time I walk through the brush, shit gets caught in them. I've had MOLLE webbing rip off because of fucking manzanitas. Can I use a Velocity elastic cummerbund like they sell for the APC with my JPC?
>>
>>34201460
not without some mods.
>>
>>34201102
Literally google "arc rail adapters"
>>
>>34201710
Ugh...
>>
>>34201741
yeah so basically the JPC cummerbund attaches at the back using shock cord, there's no flap on the back like on an APC to make a "tunnel" for a cummerbund and there's nothing but MOLLE on the back for stuff to attach to.

That being said I'm not sure how you're able to tear MOLLE webbing off if it's bartacked properly. that stuff should require a lot of force to tear if the correct materials are used.
>>
>>34201741
Also worth noting; crye skeleton cummberbuns have carbon fiber laced inside so they flopping and snagging like competitors
>>
>>34201808
I see. Weird that they decided to go with the shock cord. I'm sure it works, though. I mean, it's fucking Crye. And yeah, you'd think it'd be near impossible to tear proper MOLLE webbing off, but brambles in the mountainous southwest will fuck your shit up.
>>
>>34201885
>Weird that they decided to go with the shock cord. I'm sure it works, though. I mean, it's fucking Crye.
yeah it's a little weird but i think crye has always had a thing for shock cord attachments. someone weighed the shock cord vs a flap of 500D and it's about the same but i expect once submerged in water the shock cord retains a lot less water than a flap of 500D cordura

ATS War Belt
ATS Lo Pro suspenders
Grey Ghost gear 2x2 rifle pistol mag pouch. Shingle with tab on elastic. Replacing eventually with Esstac KYWI 2x2.
ATS double rifle mag pouch. Will probably leave. I want the rig to have 4 rifle mags, 2 pistol mags.
ATS Upright GP pouch. Nice zippers, fits Nalgene perfectly. Nalgene, 1L.
Tactical Tailor dump pouch. I haven't drilled to the dump pouch yet, and I might not ever, but it is useful for policing mags etc. A2grip put an M80 or something in there when I was running a drill and now it has a small hole.
Tactical Tailor canteen/Nalgene pouch. Another Nalgene. This pouch is okay. I prefer the ATS though.
Baofeng UV5R with 3800 mAh batter, in MSW/TT pouch. Works meh, has slipped out twice in drilling.

HSGI Bleeder/Blowout, TQ on the outside. Typical small size IFAK contents.

Shit condor universal pistol holster till I figure out what pistol I'm going to stick with.

LAPG $16. The cheapest ones they have. They are okay. I'm waiting on the STS ones from them. They arrive this weekend.

For $20 you get a rig that can carry 6 AR mags (I heard you can't fit 3 Pmags, just 3 USGI ones), and 2 canteens. Those canteens are actually 1L, so the same as a Nalgene basically.

Seriously that is a decent price for a functional rig. Just needs a GP pouch.

this fucking tripfag doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about. I own several alice rigs and they work fucking great. the military used basically the same thing for 100 years with different pouches. alice pouches use two clips and you can even rig them up with 550 cord to remove the hard edged and metal rattle. The pouches don't "move around too much" dumb niggers need to learn how to set up their belt.
>>
I don't really have a dog in this fight. Yes, ALICE is functional. However, if you buy a FLC for marginally more money like paths suggested then you have the advantage and modularity of MOLLE which is the current standard. For what it's worth I haven't ever used ALICE gear or the FLC. Just my 2¢
>>
>>34205030
you can built a complete alice rig for under $30 there are websites that sell the ammo pouches for $2-5 a piece. You can get m1956 pattern harasses for $5-10 and the pistol belts are basically free at any surplus store.

FLC are fine and you can get the vest for cheap but buy the time you buy a bunch of molle shit you would have been better buying something modern.

Stupid question but are the suspenders one size fits all? I'm not the tallest guy in the world but I am a bit fatter than I'd like to be. Of course, I'm trying to lose weight so it won't be an issue soon but I'm just curious. Never worn ALICE suspenders.

FLC vest looks worse than a belt and suspenders rig.

>>34204962
2x 1L canteens? Are the mag pouches full or AR mags? Can you fit Gen 3 Pmags in there?

>>34205030
FLC is a different setup entirely though, and it'll be more expensive after pouches. At least $70.

Consider:
http://www.arvadasurplus.com/usmc-sub-belt-battle-belt-iraq-afghanistan-coyote-marsoc-marines-special-operations.html#.WTrLCBPysfE

http://www.ebay.com/itm/USMC-Padded-War-ILBE-Pistol-Utility-MOLLE-Sub-Belt-Size-MEDIUM-32-To-44-NEW-/272619286588?hash=item3f7960303c:g:MbAAAOSw~CFY5N3P

Pretty solid start but you still need pouches, at least another $40, so almost $100? Molle is expensive compared to Alice, especially considering that real Alice is still cheaper than pure condor...

>>34206237
I may have swallowed the REI pill, but honestly just give it a try. I ordered about $600 in camping gear a couple of years ago sight unseen from an online vendor. Supposedly quality stuff with good reivews. Overall I found it sub-par. Shopping in person for that sort of stuff lets you actually see the size, feel the weight, and of course check the build quality. Plus REI has a killer return policy.
>>

You can always cut the chicom down to size, the little bit of sewing and modding you would have to to is worth the money saved i think. I dont have one but maybe one of the other anons can speak to wether the pouches would work as a radio or ifak pouch. Then no cutting required!

That said. Id say spend the $10-15 buy a sks chicom. And try it out. If it doesn't quite work you can use it standalone or for something else, which you cant really do with dedicated sks clip pouches.
