How the Hell do these 10/22 sights work? Does the bead go over tyre target, below the target or what? Got a marksmanship clinic this weekend and can't put tech sights on in time. Also general .22 thread. Post .22s, builds, upgrades, or the best ammo to stockpiles

dot covers target
top part of rear sight means nothing and does nothing
do not try to match up the top of the gold bead with the top of the rear sight like you would with normal not shit ruger sights
>>
>>34191813
With a crosshair like that how can you noscope anything?
>>
>>34191813
Thanks. Between the way you use them and how you're supposed to adjust them, I get the feeling that ruger designed these things to be as difficult to use as possible

I was going to say it's in the manual, I have 2 10/22's, but after looking at it I know why you started this thread. I never got it either. My .22's have a scope and a red dot.

Just got back from trying out some American Eagle 40gr. No jams. Gonna buy a big box tomorrow.

Did have one problem tho. My laser kept dimming every couple shots. I'd shoot a few, laser would dim so I'd fiddle with it, itd be bright again till I shot a few more and it'd dim again. Any ideas?
>>
>>34192063
its a cheap piece of shit laser that belongs in the garbage and you wasted your money or the batteries are dead/dying
>>
>>34191768
Dunno. I never figured it out so i just put a red dot optic on mine.
>>
>>34192125
I kinda thought it mightve been because it uses two little batteries instead of one big one. The recoil shakes it around and the batteries wiggle a little and don't connect as well.
>>
What is some good ammo to use? My CZ 513 (trainer version of a 452) is only getting like 2.5MOA with CCI minimags (100yds, with some wind). I was hoping for a bit better

Springfield-savage 87a. the 6a is very similar if not the same gun. They made a billion slight variations of these.

This one is identical to my other '47 87a minus the type of wood. Click clack a best is right. Wish I could find one of those box mag fed ones. They were later production, with bright wood furniture

gonna try it out tomorrow, make sure it doesn't run away on me, heh heh heh

10/22 sights work by taking them off and getting something else
>>
>>34192016
The problem I have is how far is the target and how big is the bullseye?
>>
>>34192385

CCI Standard is my favorite bulk ammo.

For 100 yard you might consider going even faster, or starting with subsonic ammo. Mini mags could be falling through transonic around your 100 yard distance and opening up your groups.
>>
>>34193217
Would stingers or velocitor be good for 100 yards then? I've had best results in my .22 with mini mags and second bess with aguila for bulk. (Not the guy you replied to btw)
>>
Best I have found so far is CCI mini mag 36 gr hollow points, or the federal 40 gr round nose.

Federal HV gold match misfeeds a lot

OP, if your clinic is an Appleseed I would use a 6:00 hold rather than dot-on-target.

6:00 is much easier in that setting.
>>
>>34195458
Yup Appleseed, thanks for the advice>>34194452
>>
>>34195861
appleseeds are great. been to two of them.
