I think the reason it's taking so long is because of Yugo builds, which are apparently difficult to make and result in frequent hangups in their build queue. Someone evidently sent a whole bunch of Yugo RPKs in that were just now getting finished late last month, so I'm assuming that's what the hold-up was.

Still, at this point, as professional as they've been, I'm not exactly pleased with "5-8 weeks" turning into nearly 8 months.

just got some east german night sights for 5 fucking dollars here, and yes the tritium paint seems to be dead , but they make fantastic qcb sights, from 0 to 100 meters i can make easy hits fast with them, any further just flip them down and use the normal one

The gas tube I got sent with my RPK-74M "kit" is actually an AKM gas tube and it's pitted as fuck lel

Paint is the same as the other parts though. I believe this is the actual gas tube that came on the deact when Molot sold it. Goes to show what I've felt all along is true, which is that you can't trust deacts for shit.

I'm just pissed it's taking so long. It'd have been one thing if he said "there's a long wait, should be about 6 months" but "2-3 weeks" every 2-3 weeks for 6 months is frankly kinda ridiculous. Me too, that was my very last purchase of them from overseas. I bought maybe 60 all together and the vast majority I sold locally. I only kept about a dozen and a half. It bugs me a bit but whatever. Just glad mine was threaded under the cap, has no problems with feeding, etc. If the rifle keeps shooting poorly (I was able to shoot groups half the size with my SLR-104FR) with better ammunition, trigger, etc I might have it recrowned and see if that helps. Over all though fairly happy. Wish mine's bayonet lug was intact though.
