The backstory is that Sonoda did Riding Bean while working for a studio, and that work became the studio's property when the company went under and he lost his job.
He wanted to make more stuff with Rally, but couldn't due to contractual and legal reasons, so he literally redesigned the character and created what we all know and love today.

And fun fact, he said that he's trying to get a new GSC series worked on. My source is some ANN interview from last month with him, so it's pretty damn recent. We'll see how it turns out. I got my fingers crossed.

Rough concept:
Players own their own PMC/Company/whatever the fuck and hire on individuals (qt girls or otherwise) with varying natural "talents", skills, ratings at different activities, etc. and make groups of 5(+) which then are "deployed" to different "arenas" and fight in PvE or PvP via turn-based combat, which is like a really scaled down advance-wars way (in my mind, so far. subject to change). Players earn bank, go and buy new guns (anti-material rifles to machine pistols, have 2XX base gun designs looking to use) and can buy literally anything you'd imagine, so handguards which can be added, optics, barrels, trigger assemblies, etc.
Gear is what you'd expect, design, color, different small features.
Patches are active/passive abilities, 1 each type/character. Example, that one "Death has no victory" patch, triggers on "death" (which would only be PvE) of a character, preventing them from dying at that instant.
Again, all rough concept.

And for everyone who will say this isn't /ak/ I originally intended for the game to have an art style in an anime/manga form, such as Girls Frontline or KanColle (although not the same mechanics). Then considered adding normie shit to actually have a playerbase.

They dedicated 2 fucking volumes to his last stand and it was fucking glorious. The show gave us a 10 minute fight scene against a guy who we literally never saw or heard of until that episode. And most of the fight was cheap and off screen.

Thought about it and I'm thinking that instead of an advance-wars style it would change to something more along the lines of XCom or similar, except more interesting. And not "arenas" but just areas.
If I ever develop it and get multiplayer, I'd try to keep games within 15 minutes. More symmetrical than XCom and friends'.
Anyways, still building everything up. It's concept right now. 230 guns, more coming, 25 countries represented (that I have so far, skipped many domestic license/rehashes of other guns for smaller countries), going to have a lot of gear (20 types, hats to boots), so basically a /k/ barbie sim where you can actually go and shoot shit.
If I REALLY want to get fancy when it's developed I'll have events where you participate in real-life conflicts.

Yeah, Invisible Inc. kills me on the inside since it lacks more content, but I accept it. It was fun for what it was.

There'll be a fair amount of variety for replayability under ideal conditions, thinking in best-cases I'll have decent content. It'll either be a long time before I finish it or I'll get a dev team at some point and get it done fast. It's all hypothetical right now.

The only potential issue was here. The sear spring was shorter than it should be. the tail should be long enough to fill the entire notch circled in red. It didn't have any functional issues at the time bu the spring could easily come loose or slip like this which could render the gun temporarily full auto if the hammer always went flying forward every time the gun fired.

1) The half assedly slapped on rail and frame mounted manual safety ruin the lines of the gun and take away the entire Space Cowboy AESTHETIC which makes the gun /AK/ relevant in the first place, plus these are all steel not alloy frame guns guns so they're already somewhat heavy as is without that rail. The Tristar T-120 and T-100 CZ clones are better looking Jerichos than the current production ones. The rail is cut into the frame instead of slapped on, so it preserves the lines of the gun while granting function. Also they have alloy frames and are fairly light, shame they're made by turks.

2) the Old School IMI Jericho 941 R ( or IMI dessert eagle 9mm, UZI eagle or Baby eagle 9mm all the exact same gun with the only difference being the rollmark on the left side of the frame/dust cover) While saying made in Israel on the roll mark was really more of an Italian gun they're pretty much a direct clone of the Tanfoglio FAB 92 which is in turn a slide mounted safety CZ 75 clone. The only real design changes the Israelis Made was to extend the dust cover on the frame forward to meet the front of the slide and give it that sexy bull nose front. The early models of slide mounted safety Jericho's all had their major components made in Italy by Tanfolglio including the slide, frame and most of the internal components, all of which are compatible with Tanfoglio/eaa parts. a few parts were finished and added to satisfy the gov enough to get it stamped "Made In Isreal". Tanfoglio makes high quality raceguns and their attention detail shows.

Having decided that I don't want to either have the gun fail to fire, get a short full auto burst before seeing my nonexistent dog shot by the ATF, or have any other issues with the gun I threw in an extra CZ 75B sear spring and its good to go. I'm also waiting on an upgraded set of springs from Wolff to help complete the refurb of this 20 something year old gun.

Absolutely, the decision by the Israelis to give their version that sexy slanted front end really make the Jericho so much more AESTHETIC than the FAB 92. The guns where made on the same assembly line aside from the ares where the minor cosmetic alterations took place. They are functionally identical and you can easily swap frames, slides and parts between the two handguns. For example if you want to plink .22lr on a Jericho, the EAA .22lr slide conversion kit will fit on any Jericho frame and shoot without issue.
