No knife thread? Let's change that.
You likey my knifey?
sprint run spydies

I'm jealous as shit. How does the locking mechanism on the bottom one feel? I wanted to pick up the Manix 2 but I'm not sure I'll like it as much as the axis lock.
>>34181064
It feels tight compared to an axis lock so it doesn't lend itself to flicking open like the benchmades do. That being said, there is absolutely no perceptible play in the blade when it is open.
Pic sorta related: low rez of some BM's I own
>>34180837
no money for a 2nd knife ^^
Bringing my 10/22 and my BM 810 for a hike
>>34181578
That looks amazing. Where do you live m8?
>>34181664
How do you fold it away? Seems like it's a little long in the blade there.
My fixed blade EDC. I carry a folder too.
I realized I didn't have any pictures of my more recent additions, so I ran out and took a couple quick ones.

That's pretty kick ass actually
>>34182231
Reminder to post the thread number (would be 104 for this one) aswell as the /ktg/ tag!
>>34180889
Jelly. I just have this one.
>>34181916
How do you like that Benchmade? Steel? G10 feel? Penis clip?
>>34181641
British Columbia, Canada. the nicest place on earth.
What is the best kind of lock to get someone who is new to knives? Something that is the safest thing to use?
I think it's the compression lock.
>>34182922
Axis lock from BM is fool proof, no way to press it even with gloves and death grilling it. Benchmade griptillian I recommend
>>34183048
That was my second choice, but I found myself grabbing it with my fingers in the blade path the first couple times trying to use it. To get the best grip and leverage to actuate the axis lock you naturally want to grab the whole handle, thus fingers in the way of the blade.
With the compression lock, unless you are using your thumb, the natural way for you to actuate it is with your fingers outside the blade path. And if you do it with you thumb the edge of the blade probably won't come in contact with your hand.
>>34183164
That is also a good option. Griptillian are very good and half as much as a PM2 and I've used and abused mine for 6 years and it's going strong. Light prying like thick stables out of wood. I broke my PM2 with not much use. Now I use the BM 810 and I'll never go back
Worth $100 /k/?

>I broke my PM2 with not much use.
Really? How? I definitely prefer my PM2s to my Grip.
I do have a Benchmade 940-1 that blows away the Grip, but still prefer the PM2 to for serious use.
>>34183263
LOL not even worth $20.
>>34183263
Absolutely not. Get a Becker bk9 or anything in the Becker series.
>>34183300
I'll look into them thanks
>>34180889
I will suck your dick for that super blue stretch. I can't find one anywhere that's not 400+ dollars. I can't sleep please
>>34183281
The hole is also the weakest point of the blade, it snapped right there and I haven't bought another spyderco since. That said I loved my endura 4 that got stolen (?) serious use I recommend BM's black class
>>34183358
I could have bought one when they came out for 100. Fuck
>>34183611
How did you snap the blade?
I've stepped on a para 1 and used it to cut through a lead slug. I weighed 200 lbs at the time and had to bounce on it to cut it. The knife edge chipped the cement. What exactly were you using the knife for?
>>34182694
It's pretty nice, I honestly prefer my 940 if I'm feeling like carrying a benchmade though. Mostly because of it's length, but the first production side of it makes me want to keep it nice. The G10 is also a little slippery compared to my Paramilitary 2, but it's not so bad.
The steel is probably the best steel out of all of my knives. CPM-20CV is a bitch to sharpen but maintains its edge really nicely. It came sharper than any other knife I've ever bought too, which was honestly surprising.
Clip is fine, would maybe benefit from being a little more flexible.
Overall an "8/10 breddy gud"
>>34182922
I would agree with this. My 940 is out of action at the moment due to an omega spring breaking. I haven't gotten around to sending it in yet unfortunately. But compression locks get an A+ for safety if nothing else.

AXIS manual
>>34183611
I somehow doubt this.
>>34180837
We needed a ak bayonet
>>34183213
Half? Yeah right. Where? Chinese copies on ebay?
The mini grip goes for a little more than half of a PM2, and the full size griptilian goes for 20 less bucks than a pm2.
I don't own a benchmade. But I've held them multiple times and the spydercos just come as better built, higher quality folders.
I find it hard to imagine how a PM2 would break where a Grip wouldn't. Except for maybe the tip where the PM2 has a very fine tip.
>>34185842
This... I have no idea how he did it. Either he got a bad knife, he's lying, or he was doing something clearly retarded.
>>34183611
Sounds like you were prying horizontally with the knife.
Which is a no go with any knife tbqh
>>34183263
Expensive meme knife. Not worth even 50 bucks
Like all other knife fags worth their salt. I carry a PM2
