Hey /k/. Hobbyist gunsmith here.
Now I understand that in California it is still legal to build your own rifle for personal use, and at least until 2019 I won't have to serialize it.
However I can't find any info on the legality of pistol builds.
Would I run into trouble because of the handgun roster? Or am I in the clear?
Please help keep my doggo alive. I love him.
Pic related. I want to make my own pistol in obrez style. Single shot probably.
Shameless self bump
>Effective January 1, 2001, no handgun may be manufactured within California, imported into California for sale, lent, given, kept for sale, or offered/exposed for sale unless that handgun model has passed firing, safety, and drop tests and is certified for sale in California by the Department of Justice.
>manufactured within California
Doggo is kill.
Well, yes, actually. This was specifically designed to be California-legal:

Holy shit so I am able to build my own pistol? Provided it's single shot bolt action?

California weapon laws have some crazy holes in them. One of those holes relates to single-shot or bolt-action pistols, which don't have to follow the same laws as other handguns. That's precisely what Inlander Arms designed that kit for. There's the breechloading version (that doesn't even have to be registered), or the magazine-fed bolt-action version, which does have to be registered, but is still legal to import, build, and own.

I wonder how it's possible that every antigunner has no idea how guns actually work.

Remember that it's a rule of the universe that anyone named "Rin" is insanely fuckable.
