/k/ i've been thinking about getting a Yildiz over/under to get into trap. Anyone have any experience with them? I don't want to drop $1200 on an over/under shotgun and realize that I hate trap shooting.
I learned to shoot trap on a old wing master 870 that my grandfather let me use. Now I shoot with one I bought in a pawn shop. I've also used his bt-99. My scores are usually around the low 20s with both. If your just trying trap I would get a cheaper shot gun. Maybe a stoger condor if you want a over and over.

My first gun was a stoeger 20 gauge over under I paid $300 for. Besides being super picky with ammo it was a great trap gun for the money.

Recommended -- an 870 or a 1100 semi are perfectly fine for starting out, and are quite useful for many other things.
But the Yildiz SPZ ME/12 does look pretty good for a budget O/U, not that I've handled one.
Get a cheap used bsa side by side. Most accurate and well balanced your gonna get for under 1k.

OP Here. Went to dinner and forgot about this. This is the my current shotgun that I never shoot. I didn't want to pick up an expensive shotgun if it were just going to sit in the safe.

What did you do to it?

Any of you tall fuckers have trouble shooting shotguns? A rifle is workable because you're supposed to take your time to line up the sights, but shotguns are supposed to be intuitive
Any advice on getting something that fits me and shoots well without having to seek out and pay for a fitter?.

Measure your LOP and buy direct from Boyds or some shit with the correct stock length.
