I see. I do know there was some kind of ban on weapons imports to Rhodesia, so they used a lot of shit from south Africa. But was the RSF issued with weapons manufactured in rhodesia? I'm curious.

I just found some old 1980s military magazines they are fucking beautiful. I picked out about 5 of them that had a few pages on Rhodesia and shit its pretty good lads. I have shit on PATU, light infantry, the sas raid into zambia , the cavalry unit and some other shit. I would send pics but i left the cunts at my dads yesterday.

If you really want to get technical, it's an STG-58 with Rhodesian Army markings and r1 furniture. In other words it's a metric franken-FAL.

It came in to the US as a parts kit with R1 style furniture, previous owner wanted an STG so he got original furniture for it. I bought the kit and saw the RA serials electro-penciled on so I made it look like a bush war rifle again.

The founder of Rhodesia, Cecil Rhodes, was an absolute legend and probably the closest the world has come to an actual supervillain.

>Through business skill, trade and overcoming the locals became so wildly successful that his company, De Beers (Which is still going today) was responsible for 90% of the world's diamonds
>His company was so rich and powerful it literally formed it's own nation, which was later named Rhodesia in 1895 in his honour.
>Where was he when this was happening? Oh nothing much, just busy being the Prime Minister of the Cape Colony (now known as South Africa)
>Not only his he rich as fuck and in control of not one, but two nations in Southern Africa, but he also manages to direct the British Empire into a full war in order to secure the rights of British people living in Boer territories
>With his money and his influence, he also had a grand plan to create a railway that reached from Cairo to Capetown, but never got to fulfill his dream.

So the guy was a genius businessman, owned nearly all the diamonds in the world, led two seperate nations and formed his own nation named after himself and had a grand scale plan in order to lead the British to victory over Africa. The guy was a living, breathing comic book character.
