I was trying to reply to your question about collectibility. Im a phone posting pleb at work right now

They are decently collectible. I got mine because i liked that they are mostly brand new and cheap and a mauser and 8mm. Sure they are not nazi rifles but they still only seem to be going up in value.

Also can give em full 8mm hot loads with worring about blowing up. However i still want a real german 8mm for historical collection.

Also, get some polish for the bolt. The bolt tarnishes really fast and nasty.

It says on barrel Redmond WA Zastava 8mm M48BO so my guess is it was an A at one point till refurbed at Zastava? Also stock number matches bolt and receiver and floor plate but seems like it was forced during refurb to match the stock.

G29(o) made for the Luftwaffe in 1938 and 1939 after the Anschluss by Styer of leftover 1912 contract rifles or something like that. 50k total production.

i think these two posts are related. My theory is that all the ones that got beat to fuck during the Mexican Civil war were bubba'd into hunting rifles and only the nice ones got spared.

Oh no, bubba never spares the nice ones. A lot of the older M1902 and M1910 rifles became M1936 rifles, and Mexico still has a few of them.
