i have always wanted a mg-42 and seeing as completed semi-autos are $6,000+ and parts kits are only around $500 how would i go about building it? or is there a place i can send the kit to and have it built professionally?

As I understand, they're a bit of a bitch to build. Look around the various gun forums for a crotchety old expert who can guide you on your misadventures before you start. I wish you luck, though. I've always wanted to build a belt-fed kit but never had the money or justification to.
