Hey /k/, new fag here. Thinking about buying a nosing nagant because they're piss cheap and I want my first rifle. Should I do it or soul I just be wasting $250 on a 100 year old piece of shit?
Inb4 >spelling error
The nugget isn't really worth it anymore unless you can get one sub-200 (which you probably can't). There are better rifles if you're willing to pay current prices.

>Mosim nagant
ok probably a typo
>nosing nagant
...
>>34163596
The days when you bought milsurp just to get a cheap shooter are long gone. Don't buy one if you aren't a collector. You can get a Savage Axis for $300, which uses cheaper and more common ammo anyway.
>>34163596
Stevens 200.
>>34163596
Boycott these things until the price is driven down below $200
>>34163835
Yes, with an ever diminishing supply surely prices will get lower.
>>34163846
>Boycott
>>34163596
Get one. With milsurp the supply only goes down and the demand only goes up (at least among collectors). Its best to grab one now and hold onto it rather than try to grab one when its either completely beat to shit or price is driven up even more.
Just look into what makes one more collectable and one less desirable so you won't end getting ripped off
>>34163835
That's not how the gun collecting market works, retard.
>>34163596
Do it. Unless you want to spend a little more on something better.
>>34163835
Never gonna happen.
>>34163596
HOLY FUCK
I spent $85 for mine
>>34163986
And in 5 years 350 will be a bargain.
>>34163596
Homebuild a .30 or .556 cal bolt rifle using ar mags? Way cheaper and simpler than semi AR imho and you get boom boom long fun time.
>>34163966
/k/aptbilly I love you but if you post that picture one more time my reee will shatter windows.
>>34163991
By then we'll have cheap laser guns... so meh.
>>34164007
That's brand new man. You're probably thinking of this one.
Get one if you want one, but there are better guns out there for cheaper.
>>34163596
>piss cheap
Depends on what you find. expect to pay just under $200 all the way to $450 depending on state and condition.
>100 year old piece of shit
I'll fucking kill you dead
don't get it because it's cheap, cause there are better options. get it because it's fun, historical, and you'll never be able to get it for $250 ever again
>>34164038
>I'll kill you dead
I second this I'll shoot you square in the mouth with my 100 year old pos
>>34163991
>>34164025
Those are notable for being American made though. A bog-standard 91/30 is still only a couple hundred.
>>34164030
Like what?
>>34164047
Might aswell go k31 if you want fun.
>>34164135
Did you ignore >>34163966 ?
>>34164214
That one is fucking stupid. The starting bid is reasonable for a matching parts Finn, but that got way out of hand.
>>34164025
>>34164214
:^(
>>34164188
Sportered Enfields and Savage axises.
>>34163596
>buying a Mosin when you could get a Yugo Mauser for $300
>buying any of these things when a modern bolt action rifle (or even an AR-15) is only a bit more
Unless you're really into collecting old guns, I'd advise to stick to modern production.
>>34164259
any more pics of them?
>>34163669
>nugget thread
>The days when you bought milsurp just to get a cheap shooter are long gone. Don't buy one if you aren't a collector
this is so fucking depressing
>>34164696
>this is so fucking depressing
Not really. I'm happy that they're not cheap anymore so that bubbas will quit buying them and hacking them up. Now that there's basically no milsurp that's significantly cheaper than a good entry-level new-build bolt gun (a Savage Axis or Ruger American), people will buy those instead of cutting up historical artifacts.
>>34164714
yea I guess there's that
I'm trying to convince my dad to give me his since he doesn't really go hunting with it anymore
>>34163613
only if you are a cheap nigga looking for a bubba deer rifle. some people want them for historical interest. $200 for a gun used in ww2 is a pretty fucking good deal to lots of people
>>34163835
ive been doing that with .223 and .22 ammo and AR barrels and its working
