Sit near a window/exit and try to have a lot of people around you. Those people will form your shield against shrapnel and cushions the explosive wave and when it hits you, it blows out the glass/door and allows you to flee the scene to avoid a potential second bomb.

The bus/train question doesn't have a real answer, keeping an eye out for strange behavior and odors along with being right next to the exit is probably going to be your best bet right behind avoiding these places.

If you have to move through an area with an explosive device the best choice is to stay as low as possible and leave as quickly as possible. Crawling would be ideal as devices placed on the ground tend to blow upward due to explosive physics and most suicide bombs are worn at waist or chest level, but this may not be possible if there is a frightened crowd trying to escape too. If thats the case then if possible hide behind something that is actually cover as low as you can while waiting for the crowd to disperse. Any repeat attacks will likely target said crowd or first responders. Then leave as described.

If there is no good cover, then just try to keep the crowd between you and the device. Also try to avoid anyone with bulky clothing, bags, or backpacks.
