Just stumbled across this on Periscope, some dude is at the Aviation Museum in Tuscon
Thought y'all might appreciate

I'm a fucking genius
>>34157708
I think it's pretty neat. His english is pretty good too when he switches
>>34157779
Nobody thinks this is cool? Dude's just wandering around live streaming his visit, all sorts of aircraft
>>34157819
Dude switched to english to talk about the Hind, he knows his shit. I believe he might be one of us, or potentially could be if he knew /k/ existed
I have to visit this place
I live close to this place and have a museum membership. Nobody ever took me up on my offer to post detailed photos of any of their aircraft.
>>34157958
He just climbed up inside a B-17
>>34158022
That's a shame anon, I'd like to see. I'm really enjoying this stream, it's somewhat brief per aircraft I guess because he has a lot to cover, but now I really really want to visit this place. And that says a lot, I don't like travelling
>>34158022
Just post. This place needs more original content. I got something coming that /k/ has never seen before and it will Epic.
>>34158039
By the way all my pics look super low-res because they're screenshots from video, the video quality is far from 1080P but it's still much better when its moving than these screenshots make it look

For anyone used to a modern airliner, it's mind blowing how small a B17 really is. It's hard to capture in a photo. The guys who flew then in combat truly had balls of steel.

There's a lot of planes are like that. The ones I've seen my whole life in pictures, then parked next to something bigger
An example from this guy's stream is a Harrier parked next to an A-6 Intruder. The Harrier was so much smaller (or maybe the Prowler bigger) than I thought.
There's a picture I'll try to find of an aerial view from an airshow of several common planes parked next to each other that show surprising size differences. This one isn't it but it gives the same effect
Also this guy just ended his stream but usually they stay up for a long time, for anyone who wants to watch it later, that link should stay good for awhile

Lots of typos. I've been daydrinking. It looks like the audio isn't working on the stored streams, which is a bummer, but it was over an hour long, maybe it takes time for it all to load? Idunno how that works. Bummer if the audio is gone forever, the dude had a nice happy Russian voice and good english
Pima is fucking fantastic and anyone in the area should go several times at least. They also have a super guppy that you can see from Google earth satellite pictures
i know it's a bit out of context, but a while ago someone made a post about an old touristic seaplane with a buble like window on it's side, i can't findd it's name
can someone help?
>>34158371
PBY Catalina?
>>34158396
looked a lot like that, but i remembered is not that big, and a biger buble, it was a touristic plane
so maybe a civil version of this one
the guy who posted it posted picture with civils on vacation in it
>>34158452
I'm having a hard time thinking of any seaplane with a bubble on the side besides a Catalina, maybe it was modified or the paintjob made it look different. Now I'm just curious what you say if it wasn't a Catalina
>>34158396
It is a Pibber.
>>34158452
?
>>34158644
>>34158396
looked a lot like that thanks
>maybe it was modified or the paintjob made it look different
yeah probably
