for this event, I was curious how interested folks would be in a type of two gun match. I'd have to scout my area a bit more to find some extra lanes, but I think it could turn out pretty fun and switch up what we usually do at these events.

Both. What ranges are up there? My mother works with a woman who's apparently married to a guy that runs a pretty busy shooting range somewhere in Rutherford county. Lots of competitions and such.

that'd be the bostic gun club, it's mostly private, I know one of the members. they host some competitions, but it's not somewhere you can just go and shoot any day of the week.

the new foothills public range in cherryville that opened in april 2016 is open 7 days a week and is pretty well furnished. the range officers are a bit strict

plus the 250 m range was closed for over a year due to bullets going over a neighbor's yard

The foothills shooting complex is top notch but you have to deal with the rules. No magnetic ammo and such. The steel range is the best value imo. Compared to other range fees I've heard of, the place is pretty cheap by comparison.

I mostly hump it down to Range 37 to shoot because it is the loosest range I know of for being tacticool in the area. Shit.. I'll lap the bolt lugs and thread the barrel for 75 bucks if I don't have to drive too far to pick it up. I'll have to mess with it to see of anything can be done to improve ejection. As far as modifying it to take new magazines, I'll have to really take a look at it and figure out what all I'd need to do and how long it would take before I gave you a price.
