I think one of them is an M10 which is something World of Tanks made up.

The other one is a KV-1S which is another thing World of Tanks made up.

Even if they're not Ronsons it doesn't matter because it would still take a similar number of them to kill one tiger.

It had a HEAT round that could penetrate the entirety of the KT's frontal profile, vastly superior fire control, and was a smaller target.

I confused that part with later Pattons which had analog ballistics computers, but an M46 does provide its crew with better visibility while buttoned up than a Tiger II.

Coating to make it harder to use magnetic mines against the tank. Somebody forgot to tell the Germans that they were the only people using magnetic mines to begin with.

>seems like a lot of extra work was put in to make it that way.

It wasn't that costly to make and apply, but they did eventually stop doing it because it wasn't actually necessary.

The Pershing had an M designation by the time it would have been used. That picture is an M46 though, many M26's were upgraded to M46 standards.

The obvious signs that it is an M46 is the newer muzzle break and the bore evacuator.
>>
“Before the class begins, I want you to get on your knees and worship Rommel as the greatest military strategist of the 20th century, even greater than Patton.”
At this moment, a brave World War Two Sherman ace who had destroyed over 1,500 German targets (including, but not limited to, tanks, armored cars, pillboxes, and various soft targets) and understood the importance of mobility, mechanical reliability, adequate training, numerical superiority, and effective logistics in mechanized warfare, stood up and held up a Panzershreck.
“Who invented this weapon, Kraut?”
The arrogant professor smirked quite Germanically and smugly replied “Apolitical German scientists, you stupid Amerikaner.”
“Wrong. The Panzershreck was reverse engineered from the American M1 bazooka. If it was used as early as 1940 and German engineering, as you say, was superior, then the Allies would have lost the war.”
The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his Walther P38 and copy of Infantry Attacks. He stormed out of the room crying those proto-fascist Wehraboo tears. There is no doubt that our professor, Belton Cooper, wished he had done actual research and become more than a revisionist historian. He wished so much that a Tiger or Panther tank would save him, but they had broken almost immediately upon leaving the factory due to a shortage of ball bearings!
The students applauded and accepted Dwight D. Eisenhower as Supreme Allied Commander. An eagle named “total air superiority” flew into the room and perched atop the American flag and shed a single tear on the chalk. The Order of the Day for June 6th, 1944 was read several times, and George C. Marshall himself showed up and upgunned all Sherman main cannons from 75mm to 76mm.
The professor was caught begging Gaijin devs to add ridiculous prototypes to the German tech tree on War Thunder forums and was banned the next day. He died when his Tiger II ran out of gas and was knocked out by an infantryman with a bazooka.

>The armored car had been in a concealed position near the boundary of Troop B, 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and Company A, 38th Armored Infantry Battalion, when the Tiger approached the lines at right angles to move along a trail in front of the main line of resistance. As the tank passed the armored car, the latter slipped out of position and started up the trail behind the Tiger, accelerating in an attempt to close. At the same moment the German tank commander saw the M8, and started traversing his gun to bear on it. It was a race between the Americans, who were attempting to close so that their 37-mm gun would be effective on the Tiger’s thin rear armor, and the Germans, who were desperately striving to bring their 88 to bear. Rapidly the M8 closed to 25 yards, and quickly pumped in three rounds; the lumbering Tiger stopped and shuddered; there was a muffled explosion, followed by flames which billowed out of the turret and engine ports, after which the armored car returned to its position.
