What would it take to weaponize chainsaws?
No, that's stupid.

Attaching a gun to a chainsaw.
lighter weight
a hilt
a chain that doesn't get dislodged from the tracks rendering it useless
>>34155454
The ability to use them like javelins; in top-down attacks in a range going from 75m to 4,5km.

Yea but no matter what you do if you use a chainsaw on a human it will just be seize city, and stopping every 5 minutes to clean it and sharpen the chain.

I know what movie that's off.
>>34155491
Perhaps a tighter chain, and smooth blade
>>34155534
Yea but the chain is designed to chip out wood, if it gets used on anything fibrous like muscle then it's going to tug, same as with chainsaw chaps. And if you can find a way around that there's still the problem with it gumming up.

We are already talking about some really nice tech advancements, so let's just talk design.
What about something like pic related, 2 lines of alternating teeth with a third one in the middle that would help dislodge chunks of meat caught between? The two types of tracks move at different speed and both can be reversed with a click of a button.

There are chainsaws designed to cut through reinforced concrete. Normally they need an external water supply but in flesh the water is already there.
Space marine bunnies.

a treant rebellion!
A Mexican cartel

Just fucking add flames to burn off chunks that get caught in the blade
>>34155554
Right that's why you need a modified chain blade that's smooth and not serrated, it's modified for combat
Also add fuel pack for longer combat before refuel
>>34155491
Could have a blade sharpener internally so when the blade runs it's constantly being sharpened while it runs, with a cooling mechanism obviously
