Seems right, actually, with the height and profile. I got the same impression of railed optic. Honestly I was gonna suggest one of the newer AUG scopes, for whatever reason that would be there.

It's clearly an AR-15, looks like a 10 inch barrel. I was thrown off by the flashlight at first, but you can tell it's just mounted at like 8 o'clock and just behind the muzzle in length.

Look closely in front of the trigger guard where his hand meets the gun. You can see a bit of the wall in the background peeking through. It's a thin mp5 style magazine. The britbongs only have AR variants chambered in 5.56. It's definitely a 9mm and it's definitely an mp5.

That's not a gap between his hand and the mag. No mag is that small, not even a 9mm one. Based on where the triggerguard ends, if that were a magazine, it'd be way less than an inch wide. That 'gap' that you think shows the wall is probably something on his glove or on the gun itself, which just looks like it's the same colour as the wall behind.
