I usually see plenty of discussion about how to survive after the nuclear apocalypse or what to do when the antifa take over, but can we get a thread dedicated to biological, chemical, and dirty-bomb nuclear hazards?
How do you protect yourself from catching a deadly contagion, for example?

you can build a pretty decent setup that will protect you from CBRN threats including nerve gas for around $500. Detection is always a problem and decontamination can be a problem depending on the agent but its not impossible like a lot of people on here seem to believe. Some nerve agents can be rendered ineffective by bleach for example. People on here also like to believe that without extensive training its utterly impossible to use coveralls and a gas mask effectively for some reason. IMO its not as hard as a lot of people here think it is but its expensive and a lot of the equipment expires.
