I have a silver ring coming from Turkey. I'm getting older and also getting swole in the gym and my only piece of jewelry isn't fitting on my ring finger.

I drunkenly bought a PPS 43 parts kit off GB thinking I'd easily turn it into a nice 9mm carbine.

When I sobered up I realized I don't know how to weld and have 0 gunsmithing experience to think of.

You can't find parts kits currently. I work as a welder in a fabrication shop, and I've built a few receivers for stamped guns already, so I'm pretty sure I can do this as well. Though I could also be and idiot, and it's far more complicated than I think. 7.5 Swiss barrels are nonexistent, so I'm going to thread the outside of a G3 barrel, make a collar with the id threaded for the barrel and the od threaded for the trunnion. I talked to a guy with some experience in this and he said it should work with some small mods to the extractor claw and bolt face. I don't have much experience with head space or bolt gap, but I'm figuring it out. .308 and 7.5 swiss are extremely similar, so hopefully I get lucky and it works well. I also don't know how well .308 will feed out of the 7.5 swiss mag, though I could always make the receiver for modded FAL mags.

The Tac Latch is a paddle type mag release that moves left to right instead of backward to forward like a normal HK paddle mag release. If you buy a new GI then they have the paddle release installed. I should have waited but I bought mine and then the next month they stated that paddle mag releases and steel lowers would be standard on GI rifles. The tac latch is a cheaper alternative to having a paddle installed, hoping I can fit it with no issues.

As for the build quality, it seems decent. I don't know a whole lot about G3 style rifles and I don't have an HK91 to compare it to. They seem to be well liked though you do hear some negative stuff.

I was almost done putting the new barrel, (old one had loose front sight I didn't notice until I tried to zero it for so long and I told the company that put it on there about it) trying to align the nut for the gas tube and my vice block breaks and I was tired of waiting so I tried taking it to a range gunsmith and they had stuff ahead of mine but on my back I noticed a small gunsmith shop and popped in and he tried to help but in the end he turned too hard and Bam, colt surplus M16A1 upper is rekt.
The only mistake I made was that I should have bugged him to use a vice block just to keep it steady.
