I have an auto ordinance M1 carbine that is no longer firing. It is leaving a dimple in the primer and it was firing then stopped. I tried my other ammo just to see, same thing. I'm wondering if I should send it to the manufacturer or can I trade it in as is?

Have you cleaned it at all? Remove bolt, clean bolt face, clean the chamber, inspect the firing pin, clean the firing pin channel, clean the trigger group, clean underneath the extractor.
A proper cleaning should be done before buying replacement parts or having a gunsmith look at it. Test fire after cleaning, and try with a different brand of ammo. Some manufacturer's use harder primers and this can lead to malfuctions on certain picky guns.
Once you have done all this, then start to order parts/have a professional smith take a look at it.
