Let me give you a rundown of the previous "known" operations in the last 20 years. And mind you, only a handful have been conformed for SEALs, Delta isnt technically on the books past [redacted].

Seals in 1990 - went searching for Sadam and his palace. Destroyed comms and AA emplacements.

Delta in 1990 - killed of hogh ranking officials in Sadams regime.

Seals cirqa 2001 - searched for Bin laden and high valued individuals insode Al-Queda.

Delta in 2001 - raided and destroyed Al-Queda strongholds and infastructures, such as comms towers, oil depots, ammo banks, and even training camps.

Seals under Obama Admin. - hunting down Osama and killing him.

Delta - everything else because the seals were pre-disposed. And a few were in the Bin Laden raid.

This is a generalization, but it shows you the jist

I have heard that the seals have more of a back stabbing I'M-THE-BEST mentality (this is a problem) and delta has a team based mentality. Also seals pick younger guys based on ability, but delta picks older guys based on character.

Everybody hazes everybody everywhere. I am not sure where /k/ got the idea that JSOC units are all super mature high and tight guys with no sense of humor who just sit around thousand yard staring at each other, but I can guarantee you right now that somewhere out there, probably in North Carolina or Virginia, a newly minted Delta dude or ST6 dude is being forced to do push ups and flutter kicks until he pukes for the malicious enjoyment of someone else, or running to taco bell to buy $100 worth of bean and cheese burritos, or being given 1 minute to shotgun a 6 pack, etc.
