Call of Prypiat. The open world was fantastically done, and it makes the Zone feel so much larger. I like how you have more freedom to tackle goals rather than being stuck in a glorified corridor. The extra mutants, better UI, and actually dark nights don't hurt either.

STALKER was designed to look cool. The only accurate thing in the STALKER gear (actual STALKER gear, not other suits in the STALKER game), is that you will only be able to carry 50 kg before crawling home.

Most when not in use need to be locked or in a locked room etc. There are provisions where if you require a firearm for pest control or wilderness protection you can ignore the storage laws.

The most practical outfit you could wear in reality would be something like the leather jacket. You just need decent boots, comfortable but durable pants, a jacket or hoodie and a bag that fits closely to your back. All these gas masks and excess ammo pouches are unnecessary. You need to travel light and not have a bunch of shit that's going to snag on branches or rebar. This is especially true if you're going somewhere you haven't been before.
