Are snap caps worth an investment for at home training or are they just overprices junk?
What are good ones? Bad ones? What's a fair price?
What other tools or guides do you use to git gud when you can't be on the range?
>>34140782
Depends on the gun. I only worry about snap caps for dry-firing revolvers with the firing pin on the hammer. If it's frame mounted or a semi-auto gun you don't need that shit.
>>34140782
i have a few, they're nice for practicing certain drills, good insurance that you won't damage the gun. Sneak them into magazines so you can tell when you're flinching.
>>34140782
They are good for range training to simulate malfunctions.

Was thinking of buying some 9mm for my pistol and 357 for my lever action.
Almost bought some at Gander Mountain today to try out since they're doing a liquidation, but even with the discount $16 for 5 9mm or 6 357 seems overpriced and retarded.

>If it's frame mounted or a semi-auto gun you don't need that shit.
You're fucking ign'ant boy
>>34140811
Actually the purpose of them is more for
>>34140848
which is more useful on semi-autos.
do they actually cycle the action or just act as a straight up dud?
if they don't cycle, why even sell multiples in a pack?
>>34141214
>do they actually cycle the action or just act as a straight up dud?
No they don't cycle the action.

>>34141214
What causes a gun to cycle it's action?
>>34141214
I am pretty sure this guy is retarded but am I?
I mean, I don't know what the fuck is his point about there being multiple of them in a pack.

>I am pretty sure this guy is retarded but am I?
>>34141339
no really, what was that guy asking, why did he think snapcaps shouldn't come in multiples if they don't cycle, what's the correlation
>>34140782
Why are they so dark? It makes them very easy to lose or misplace outdoors. Why not a bright neon paint color instead?
>>34140782
I built some of my own with old brass. I wouldn't spend money on any desu. Usually I just use them so I can practice loading.
>>34141654
because they don't look tactical that way
>>34141682
That's what I heard too when I chose the God awful day-glo orange Delica there in the middle, but I haven't lost that knife yet.
>>34141764

>She drops stuff but always was able to easily find it
now my shit makes me look like a character from the cheesiest low budget 80's scifi thriller and I haven't lost anything since.
