What is the best value, "all metal-no plastic" high capacity handgun and is it the bersa thunder pro?
>>
>>34140725
There's no value in buying a heavier, more expensive pistol.
>>
>>34140725
>all metal no plastic
What's with the fuddery? Are you 55?
>>
>>34140725
You're supposed to say 1911 op, and fudd about 'muh stoppin' powa'
>>
>>34140745

Fuck you, plastic faggot. Theres no value in your comment. More expensive? than what faggot this gun is 400 dollars.
>>
>>34140725
Sig legion.
>>
>>34140725
idk man, used high powers are pretty cheap. I would rather have a hungarian high power then an argentinian bersa.
Of course used is best value, fuck new.
>>
>>34140787
Woah, relax grandpa. Go buy a fowty figh if you want.
>>
>>34140788

haha $1299 made me look
>>
>>34140725
All metal guns aren't typically a good value. The Bersa is cheap because it blows.
>>
>>34140725
There is nothing wrong with all metal pistols. I prefer them personally but everyone who has an opinion unlink mine is a faggot. Just get what you want and stop asking strangers on a mongolian horse husbandry forum.
>>
>>34140871

But you're a faggot too for this response, what do you prefer? Im looking at cz 75, baretta 92, and this bersa bs, but what do you like? 1911 commands stupid price.
>>
>>34140725
CZ, easily.

Or something made by Canik or Sarsilmaz if you want to buy something made in that shitty country.
>>
>>34140837
I'm not joking. You pay to play.
>>
>>34140725
Best value probably CZ 75
>>

>>

hmmm well 1911 commands dumb price but i do see other offerings in 45 like jericho 941.

List all the other good quality all metal hammer-fired pistols out there that sell for sub-Glock prices new and AREN'T made in some repressive communist or Islamic shithole

no

Also nearly every cz knockoff i.e. jewricho and tanfoglio, beretta
>>

>>
>>34140725
can confirm. bersa thunder pro is built like a tank

was my first handgun I must have put over two thousand rounds through it, without ANY malfunctions
>>

You said best value, not cheapest.

Beretta 92fs

Jerchicho 941
Sig Sour patch 226 and the rest of the numbers

Maybe if you value getting ripped off for an unreliable piece of shit.
>>
>>34140938
>>34141155
In no way is a modern Sig - especially the "premium" models - a good value. Good guns, some of them may be. But a good VALUE? FUCK outta here.
>>
CZ 75, Beretta 92, Browning Hi-Power. Or any of their clones.

Those are your options, OP.

Rex zero 1

The pro pistols are not exactly cheap but are good. There is a big difference between those and the aluminum frame Thunder/Firestorm ppk clones.

REX Zero
Tanfoglio
surplus Beretta 92S
Taurus PT92
Bersa
surplus Hi Power

First

Get a polymer framed pistol. There is a reason every police department in the country carries glocks, and have since the fucking 80s. You have not discovered some magical flaw that they haven't noticed in three decades. Not saying Glock is the best (Walther clearly is) but there is clearly no problem with polymer.

Second, if you're dead set on being a dumbass, go used instead. Get a used CZ or S&W59 for around the same as that bersa. It will be a better gun. If you feel like not being a gigantic fucking cuck, get a lionheart lh9.
>>
>>34141275
>outdated features
>low capacity
>goofy action
>grip safety
the 1911 is the worst pistol ever designed.
>>
>>34141774
I raise you a jennings, lorcin, or similar zinc cast blowback shite.
>>
>>34140894
cz and beretta have high capacity. 1911 commander slimmer at little lighter you can get the ruger commander with allow frame for about the same price. I prefer 1911's but I love my cz's. Shoot both see what you like. I think a combat combat commander in 9mm is about perfect for someone looking for a compact steel carry gun in single action. You don't have to buy a DW CBOB like the pic but they are nice as hell.
>>
>>34141897
>I think a combat combat commander in 9mm is about perfect for someone looking for a compact steel carry gun in single action.
Someone looking for that combination of things, in 9mm no less, would be judged mentally incapable and therefore ineligible to own firearms.
>>
>>34141774
Only because you are looking at it from 21st century eyes. Even then your list is purely based on preference and any issues related to hand fitting the "goofy" action have been remedied with modern cnc techniques. I only bring up hand fitting because almost all modern handguns today use the browning tilting action or a derivative. You may not choose it over the options we have today but to say it's the worst pistol ever designed is an incredibly ignorant statement.
>>
>>34141774
But it's the only all metal gun in this thread
>>
>>34141983
Right. Because almost every pistol manufacturer isn't producing a single stack gun in 9mm but using polymer and nobody compares their trigger to a 1911. At the end of the day almost every guns width and trigger are compared to a 1911. Just because you were buttfucked by a 1911 doesn't mean it has lost its merits and you're entitled to your own opinions even if they are not based in reality. I'm not saying the 1911 is perfect but it got a few things right.

>>34142628
why does it have 2 safeties????
>>
>>34141758
They also use 9mm too though because despite its inability to incapacitate as often as other common calibers, they're a bunch of cheap asses. Polymer is only a mass production cost benefit.
>>
>>34142679
>reading comprehension
>>
>>34142697
When you have twice the amount of safeties and you turn them off you get twice the amount of danger.
>>
All-steel EAA Tanfoglio Witnesses are $305 new if you look on slickguns, SKU 999111.
Italian-made CZs - Tanfoglio also designed the Jericho for IMI and Sphinx for Kriss.

Highly recommend it - though be warned that EAA customer service sucks balls if you ever need it.
>>
>>34141690
$250? Classic Firearms has them for $200.

Polymer frames handle the battering of modern high pressure handgun rounds better than aluminum and steel.
>>
>>34143566
Aluminum I can believe, but steel? Really?
>>
>>34140725
CZ75 B is a terrible choice, all steel is way too heavy.
75 P-01 or PCR is the best option

I bet a steel pistol wouldn't look like this after dropping a foot onto the floor. All three materials have their merits, polymer is just more practical in most cases.

It was about a foot and a half, my mistake!

In this particular case the cop who rolled onto his P2000 after wrecking his ATV(I think) is lucky it snapped in two like a toy, sincerely doubt a steel or even aluminum framed gun would fail like that.

Modern production Tok when? God damn, why does everyone want to wait until AFTER the cyborgs and spider silk body armor to show up before they want those high velocity pistol rounds.
>>
>>34143837
>In this particular case the cop who rolled onto his P2000 after wrecking his ATV(I think) is lucky it snapped in two like a toy, sincerely doubt a steel or even aluminum framed gun would fail like that.

Yeah, a crash like that could still deform a metal frame, and be less obvious which could lead to a horrendous malfunction if used without checking. No gun is designed to survive a vehicular accident. That's like designing a gun to survive a trash compactor. You kind of have higher priorities like "why did you crash, are you okay?" and "what kind of dipshit throws a gun in a trash compactor?"
>>
$350, better fit&finish, than CZ. Also, the frame is al, which CZ doesn't offer without that ugly PCR cut
>>
Probably any used premium one, such as a police trade-in SIG P226.
>>
>>34141758

IMPD (Indianapolis) Capitol Police use Sig Sauer P227s. The rest of IMPD have used, as far as I can tell, a mix of old S&W guns, Berettas, Sig Sauer P226, and not a single Glock. I get the popularity bejind Glocks, but you're overblowing it. Glock is not the best polymer framed pistol. It is the whore of polymer framed pistols. Cheap, ugly, but she'll go bang for you.
>>
>>34140795
This.
Surplus high powers
Tokerevs and Serb clones
Makarovs
Bersa's
>>
Plastic guns have such shit recoil...just snappy as fuck and no fun to shoot.

Metal guns? That's something you'll actually find pleasure in shooting and WANT to practice with.

Plastic is fucking inferior cheap garbage and you fucks just let the gun industry bend you over and price gouge you time and time again. You eat this shit up. You practically beg them to misstreat you and charge you 4 to 5 times what an object is worth.

Cheap ass garbage guns.
>>
>>34145817
well I can agree about the fun part, but if you honestly find a 9mm glock "too snappy" then you may be a fag or woman.
>>
Police trade in 92s can be had for ~ $300.
>>
>>34145832

all of what I linked can be found cheaper if you wait it out, and I'd love to see you fuck up with a 3rd gen smith. it's like a 1911 that that actually moved out of mom's basement.

A guy let me use his Bersa on an IDPA stage. I have to admit it was a nice gun and for the right price they're a deal.

https://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?groupid=8635&name=LEO+Trade-In+Beretta+92+FS+9mm+Pistol

$399 for a LEO trade in 92fs is a pretty good deal too.

There's lots of good deals out there anon.

Also what can't you people post pictures. It's a damn image board.
>>
>>34146198

if they work

i bought a bersa because it was a "deal" total fucking piece of shit crap customer service i ended up giving it to local police for destruction

there's a reason why quality gun makers charge more $$ and it is (usually) related to quality

You mean R&D? Clones avoid most of that overhead.

"i ended up giving it to local police for destruction" I hope this is just bait. if not should have kys with it.
>>

Haha Hmm let me think, maybe fix it, or if really fucked, maybe send back to Bersa for warranty repair, wtf was wrong with it anon, Fail to feed or wut?

"Maybe i should have sold it to you"

Maybe you should have.
>>
>>34146896
>maybe send back to Bersa for warranty repair, wtf was wrong with it anon

pffft

$75 shipping once to the bersa factory gunsmith who was not able to fix 2/4 problems

why spend another $75 on that piece of shit ? i could have gotten a ruger that works

slide won't stay back, slide stop lever = pot metal crap

magazines eject when firing, frame is too large

ie, crap shit quality

you can claim "design clone" all you want but manufacturing tolerances & machining are where the quality fails happen
>>
>>34146937 Ok well I see now. sounds like a piece of shit. Thanks for clarifying. Still, your bad experience with a bersa doesn't reflect poorly on other affordable options listed in this thread though. I havent read anything bad about the EAA witness (9mm model) cz clone
