Is it a good conceal carry, found one for $230, do you recommend it /k/?
>>34139006
LCP for $230? Not even if it was gold plated.
That is a ballpark figure for the newer LCP2
>>34139006
You shouldn't pay more than $200 for an LCP brand new.
>>34139006
i wish i could afford to have a toy gun like this but its too small to really be any fun to shoot.
>>34139023
Is that one good? They had that one for just a bit more.
>>34139040
Are they really that cheap? I have a sub compact I like a lot so never looked at the LCP, hell for that kind of money I'd get one just to have.
>>34139006
It's not fun to shoot, but that's not the point. You'll have no excuse to not carry it. And it's incredibly easy to conceal.
J&G Sales has the LCP for $199.95, I'd rather throw down another $80 and get the LCP II.
Thinking about getting one of these for my gym gun.
Don't really feel like throwing my Glock 19 in a gym bag. I like to have my gun on me at all times.
Kind of debating getting an LC9 instead honestly that and the M&P Shield are too close to the size of my G19. I want something that is super easy to conceal.
>>34139374
What's the difference?
>>34139423
https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/11/18/tested-ruger-lcp-ii-handgun/
Better trigger, sights, and ergonomics. Slide now stays open on last round. All worth the extra $80.
>>34139326
Why is it uncomfortable weapon to shoot? Details?
>>34139597
Not the guy you asked, but it has a relatively large round for a tiny gun. It's a handspanker, and there isn't enough grip to keep the LCP from moving in your hand during recoil. Running a box of .380s through it feels about the same as shooting 10 boxes of .454 Casull through a Ruger Alaskan. Your hand is sort of swollen and numb.
I haven't shot the LCP II yet, but word around the campfire is that it's easier to hold and manage.
>>34139497
Cool thanks and I'd agree that's worth it.
>>34139597
I just bought an LCP 1 myself about a month ago.. Putting 100 rds through it was a challenge. The fuckin piece of shit barely could stay in my hands while shooting. It's really snappy and is hard to be accurate with... However like most others are saying.. It is so small you can conceal it and forget it's even on you.
>>34139880
Thanks a lot, looking for a conceal carry for my mom and her tiny hands.
To OP.. DO NOT pay more than $200 for a new one. I got mine for $180 new out the door.. You really should spend a little more and get a nicer gun. Srs
I usually carry a Glock 23 but I have a PF9 as a smaller gun. Been thinking about buying a pocket 380 of some kind to have something smaller.
>>34139043
>Is that one good?
Much better
Better sights, MUCH better trigger (main selling point honestly), looks better, better grip, last round hold open etc etc
Literally no reason to get the OG LCP. $230 isn't even that good of a price, I've seen them for $199 many times.
>>34139415
>gym gun
Did chad and his big pecs threaten you?
It's one thing if you're just carrying on you're way there but while you lift? Nigga u dumb
>>34140471
What gym do you go to that's crime free? Do they have a sign or something?
>>34139880
>like 10 boxes of 454 casull
>Confirmed never shot 454
>confirmed baby hands
>>34140484
>working out with scary poorfags
Equinox negro
Since the LC9s Pro came out, the LCP is literally only for bitches and manlets.
>>34140435
Never understood pinky hooks desu, they already give the silhouette of a larger gun, just make the mag actually that long so I can get an extra cartridge out of it.
>>34140518
>this
Even with XTPs the 380 is a marginal caliber. Unless your pocket carrying no reason to not at least go single stack 9, if not a double stack subcompact. The 9mms aren't even harder to shoot since the 380s are so small
>>34140530
This particular pinky hook does - it's shit- but most only extend towards the front of the grip. I have a pierce extension on my g26 and the hook does not print what so ever. It's the butt of the grip that you have to worry about
>>34140485
noguns tweenager spotted.
>>34140530
LCP2 comes with standard mag bottom plate in case you want to swap it out
honestly I like the pinky hook better - it doesn't make the gun look any more gunny in your pocket, but significantly improves the grip
>>34139880
>I haven't shot the LCP II yet, but word around the campfire is that it's easier to hold and manage.
LCP2 is miles better than any other .380 subcompact; the back of the grip (particularly where the gun contacts the thumb web) is as wide as your average 9mm, and the gun is as gentle as a full-size .40 in my experience
>>34140576
Post your 454 faggot
>no guns
HOLY KEK STRAWMAN
Here's my 629
>>34140612
Took mine to the range after I bought it, was really surprised at how well it shot for it's size
would recommend this gun for use with the extended 7 round mag that you can buy for it.
Otherwise skip it.
>>34139880
Do you have baby hands? I've never felt the LCP cause pain on the hand. Am I missing something? I've always felt it much more comfortable and controllable than the Kel-Tec .380.
>>34140710
>much more comfortable and controllable than the Kel-Tec .380.
ugh, yes.
I have a P3AT - the trigger guard is so small that it snaps directly into your finger every time you fire. that is, if it fires, because it fails to chamber every third round. Thing is a real piece of shit.
>>34140710
Yes he does
He's also never shot a 454 either
>>34140727
Shit. Sorry man.
>>34140616
KEK, have you been hiding grandpa's gun in the sandbox? Maybe you clean that fucker with a file and steel wool? lmao
>>34140776
Hahaha I usually have to wait until football season to backpedal that fast
>holy shit you actually use your guns?
>but then the finish won't be perfect!
I woodswalk with this nigga in a shoulder holster. Stainless scratches easily but it buffs out nicely - I don't see a reason to though.
Also
>post your 454 you faggot
>>34140776
I have no idea what you're talking about the revolver looks fine
Also - anyone have any experience with glock 43s? I think it would make a nice backup ankle gun
>>34140912
>anyone have any experience with glock 43s
my experience is to inform glock fanboys to kindly stick a cactus up their ass
then jump off a bridge and land ass first until the cactus stabs their brain
>>34140945
>point to the doll where Gaston touched you
>>34140961
Gaston handed me a glock
then shoved a cactus up my ass
then threw me off a bridge
>>34139880
Some special boipucci hands you have there anon. I don't have an LCP but I have a BG380 that's like shooting nothing at all.
>>34141021
I bet you he owns a pair of
>shooting gloves
Old /k/omrade here. I like my lc9s pro for summer carry. Shoots well and eats everything. No complaints
>>34139006
i got a lcp custom that has a much better trigger and a polished steel guide rod for that price, so no.
>>34139497
>>34139909
>>34139423
the LCP2 is striker fired, the old ones have a visible internal hammer. they are also a lot more nice to shoot with the 7 round mags that add some more grip to them.
>>34141344
Shits discontinued
Better to just get the lcp II
>>34141344
looks mega gay

I owned an original LCP and an LCP Custom, and sold them both after kind of getting sick of them and realizing that I never carried them. Even with the DAO trigger, it was an accurate gun and very shootable. The trigger was a little bit of a challenge, but if you are willing to put in the time, you can learn to make a 2 inch group at 7 yards with a little effort. The problem is that it's a little too small for IWB carry, but not small enough for pocket carry. The recoil is not that bad, and they could have made the grip a big shorter.
From what I've read, the LCP II seems to have a much better trigger and sights than the original LCP, so if the size works for you, I'd recommend one.
