Belgium's army was so dated it is incredible they didn't collapse instantly.

Also, even the shit-tier Garde Civique put up a fight in some areas with single shot blackpowder rifles and top hats.

Also the army would send out armored cars with the earliest Lewis Guns and harrass the shit out of the rear line and there are reports of Belgians dressing in German officer uniforms and driving explosives-laden cars to bridges and other important structures to slow Germany further.
