Just acquired this baby today. Any recent firearms you lots got recently?
>>34132185
>that two-piece plastic trigger
i cannot take these S&W's seriously at all
>>34132219
Aye, neither can I, that's why I'm gonna replace it with a solid aluminum one from Apex.
>>34132185
why did you get the gay manual safety version?
>>34132292
I live in faggy commiefornia.
Black powder, so she got delivered directly to my front door - no FFL involved.
>>34132185
I couldn't resist that S&W rebate either...and I'm actually really liking the shield the more I shoot it.
>>34132303
California requires a manual safety for a pistol? Every day it's like some new horror awaits discover out west.
for 360 good deal?
>>34132343
Not exactly. California has a list of "approved" handguns (I'm not kidding) that you are allowed to buy. Every year they add more random shit to the "requirements" list which now includes microstamping on the firing pin I think. The original shield w/ safety was added to the list before the requirements were changed and I think the newer non-safety version which came later cannot be added to the list so CA owners are SOL for the non-safety version...I think...
>>34132338
Yeah for sure man, that rebate sealed the deal for me too. Was going to look at used compacts and everyone is just overcharging.
>>34132367
Man you lucky sob, I bought mine for 800, granted I live in CA and it's off roster this we got some serious inflated prices. At least mine is the slide safety like Spike, but is manufactured by the Jews.
>>34132367
Holy fuck, where from? I've been scouring buds and gunbroker but no luck yet for a jericho in that config
Just got this aimpoint pro and mount for an Anon
I had a used PPS m2 LE on lawaway for 325. Although with walther having the new 100 dollar rebate fpr PPQs and PPSs, I just cancelled it today and will be purchasing a new, non-LE version instead. $257 for a PPS m2 is fucking amazing.
>>34132857
Wait, does the rebate not apply to the LE model? Shit, I want those sights and extra magazines.
>>34132888
It does, but I can get the extra mags for cheaper than the price difference and the glow sights are sort of shit, so I'd rather save the money and get some trijicons later on (which I can also get for cheap).
>>34132185
Aaaay, I'm going to pick up a Shield tomorrow morning. I need to switch to a compact from my full size anyway.
>>34132784
?
Those type of Jericho's are all over Gunbroker. What configuration are you looking for?
>>34132945
Let me assume you also got in on the shield due to the rebate? Not that its a bad thing, saving money on a good firearm is a great thing.
also got a shield today because of the rebate. kinda disappointed that the slide release isnt a release because i play with my guns all the time and use it as such. its just so stiff. definitely replacing the trigger tho
>>34133349
yeah, PSA has it for $289, that and the $75 rebate is too good to pass up.
>>34132185
My first firearm, picked up my Ruger American Compact today.
I really wanted an M&P 9c, or a Shield, but they did not seat right in my hand, kinda sad about that.
>>34133444
Too thin of a width grip? I can understand larger hand grip size would find the shield's grip too small for their liking.
>>34132185
Added this rare unicorn to my stable a few weeks ago. I had never even seen one in person before until I saw it under the glass at a local shop, fresh from a new production run, so I hear. The price was a good 100 bucks below what I've seen it go for on average, so my impulses got the best of me.
I had lowish expectations for the trigger and general shooting feel out of the box. Turns out, the trigger is SUBLIME. The reset is short(ish) and tactile. The wall is hard and defined. It's just a wonderful feeling little shooter. Beyond the color-fill I've done, I don't think I'm going to change a thing. I've never shot groups this tight with 9mm before.
tldr: got lucky af, love this damn thing.
>>34133396
It'll get better. Shield's my carry gun. It'll loosen up the more you play with it.
Also helps to not have babby hands.
>>34132784
Local store MN. The only special thing about this gun is the 1xxx serial. It's just the standard f model.
>>34133506
the palm contact and seat wasn't enough on the M&P 9c/Shield for me, I /really/ wanted to like them, but I didn't feel comfortable, was easily gonna walk out with a FDE Shield, but I didn't want to train around an awkward feeling pistol.

Fucking Hell that looks familiar
Shield fag reporting in. First gun. I'm looking for another. Would any of you recommend a VP9, PPQ, sig p226/320? If not, what would you suggest?
>>34133985
This entire month will be just Shield owners. I haven't shot any of those you have suggested, my other full size 9mm is my Jericho 941 and I love that pistol.
So, I had my shield for a year. First gun. I'm looking for another. Would any of you recommend a VP9, PPQ, sig p226/320? If not, any suggestions?
>>34133985
The PPQ is a damn riot. My dad recently bought himself a Q5 Match and its extremely worth it.
>>34134311
I'm not a truly poorfag, I mean I own a FN 5-7 and PS90, but I can't seem to swallow the price of H&K products. I like the USP and if I could find and afford it the MK23.

The CA handgun roster works like this:
>Year 1
>release """""safety""""" requirements for guns to be submitted and put on roster.
>every year, companies have to pay renewel fee in order to stay on roster
>Year 2
>add new """""safety""""" requirements
>less gun makers submit their guns for roster approval
>Guns already on Roster must pay renewal fee or have their gun drop off roster
>Year 3, same shit, fewer guns added, some guns drop off roster
>Year 4, same shit, fewer guns added, some guns drop off roster
>etc
>etc
>Year 16, Microstamping is introduced as requirement. literally a handful of guns from literal WHO'S get added and tons of guns have since dropped off.
It's basically a dwindling grandfathered list.
>>34134318
I got it used at $650 shipped. Was cool too because the gun was a demo piece, so it didn't have much use out of it. More expensive than your glocks and $500~ range guns, sure.
But other than some of the rarer models, I will agree that $800+ is a bit too much for HK, since they're not known for good triggers.
1943 STAR Model B, arsenal refinished, all #'s matching including magazine.
>>34133103
Yeah sorry, meant I was looking for pretty much the same configuration but without the rails
>>34135835
Same here man, it's been hell trying to find one that some jew doesn't want 1k+ for.
>>34133396
Why is the barrel bent upwards?
>>34135986
Are you serious?
No funs confirmed
The barrel "floats" so when the slide is doing its thing the barel os free to hang down untill the next round is loaded and the barrel locked back into place
It's not /super recent/, but my most recent purchase is a Springfield M1A Scout.
That was before they came out and said "Fuck the entire state of Illinois"...
>>34135860
Yeah, that's the one I really have wanted but when I saw that one I couldn't resist.
>>34132262
I ordered one at the same time I ordered my shield.
Saiga because LOL TRUMP
>>34136045
My resistance to the rail is slowly eroding, it still looks awesome regardless and it'll satisfy my hard on for DA/SA metal guns.
I'm in love, and I don't think I'll ever buy another polymer, striker fired gun ever again.

Got that bitch. $310 by the time I paid and with that rebate in 2 months, I'm happy. Palmetto State Armory had both the thumb safety and without. Had to go without it.
