They may not be the absolute best, but it's not like they are jam-o-matics. I've had zero problems, but I also don't do 600 yard shots to notice an appreciable difference between mine and some gucci upper receiver.

For an entry AR you could probably do worse. AR is a good design, it's not like they inherently suck. If its your first gun it isn't a bad choice.

Their $100 4150V nitrided barrels are more accurate than their FN CHF chrome-lined barrels.

That's because chrome isn't great for accuracy. CHF and chrome lining are chosen for longevity, but button rifled bare steel or nitrided barrels are going to be the most accurate barrel possible, at least until they are used up.

That's pretty neat actually. Though if I were to buy a barrel for accuracy, I would get a ballistic advantage. Guaranteed sub MOA with match grade ammo

Their premium barrels are also made by FN.

My "FN" CHF barrel from PSA is a 2MOA barrel with quality ammo.

Take that for what it's worth.

So what about the PSA AR9 reliability?

I'm not new to ARs. I ask due to them have a deal on a 10.5 upper on sale today but everything I have heard about them has been a mixed bag.

To better clarify, the intent is for my AR pistol I have been building and its been sitting just as a complete lower for almost 7 months now and I don't feel like neglecting it any longer.
