Redpill me on the LAV 25
Are they any good? Does the Stryker have any serious advantages over it?
Lav 25, Lav 3 and Lav 6, Stryker for that matter are outdated and too small to benefit from any worthwile future updates. Best to move past and create a new (modular, common chassis) platform.

>outdated
I mean, I can understand it not being ideal for fighting a bunch of goat-humpers running around mountains and cities with RPG's, but that's not what they're designed to do
In an engagement against an actual military, I could see them performing well

LAV-25s is an armed reconnaissance vehicle. In that role, they have served very well. The Stryker is an APC. It also works pretty well in that role, but those are two separate roles.

Longer name
The LAV-25 is amphibious, unlike the LAVIII.
Its small size makes projection and logistics simpler, I assume (its weight certainly does).
It has as many variants as the Stryker as.
As for the Stryker's advantages : all I can think of is it has probably more recent Command&Control systems and more space.

Styker can actually carry a full infantry squad.

>posting vehicles of the same generation as Strykers and LAV6
Recon vehicle with a stupid loud turbo diesel.

Strykers have a larger payload, better protection and better offroad ability. LAV-25's are amphibious and light enough to be airdropped with existing certified rigging.

I'm in love with the 30mm on the Stryker
