Thread for Mausers
>>34125562
Mauser you say. That's no G98 or K98 though. Is it something exotic like a Chilean or commercial version?
>>34125562
Muh 1914 with new grips. Apparently served with the Danish police at some point in its life
>>34126099
Prolly get shat on for owning a Bolo that's been rebored to 9mm, but I still love this thing
>>34126017
No it is a Mauser used by the Italian military
My Mauser HsC. I am one of those freaks who find relics interesting.
>>34126106
Very nice marking. Got a date stamp anywhere?
Mausers, you say?
>>34126132
Yeah I will find it once I get home from school
>>34126106
You better dig up more markings. That's the receiver stamp of the Spanish Civil Guard, and the visual matches the overall Spanish M1916 Mauser whereas Italy never used a 98-style rifle.
>>34126103
No hating, a broomhandle is a broomhandle.
>>34126345
Then I may be wrong
>>34126373
Doesn't make it a less interesting specimen, mind you. Just curious to see if the other markings match with that.
>>34126373
Fuck, it could even be a Spanish M1893 Mauser. I need more data, Watson!
>>34126106
That's neat
Here is Erika she is real picky with ammo and only likes S&B and dents most everything else
>>34126539
Okay what's THAT?
>>34126573
Nice k98. The sling is out of sight? Looks like all you need is a new front grip.
>>34126619
The sling is a repro it works great other than a little bit of rattling, I take it out durr hunting when the conditions are too shitty for my M77
>>34126575
not same guy but looks like a Belgian Mauser 1889 carbine
>>34126803
You could well be right. The odd magazine shape was correct but I was wondering about the lack of a front band, until I found that the Belgian rifle was made both in default size, a cavalry carbine, and an engineer carbine. This one is likely one of the two latter.
posting nazi guns are against the rules
enjoy your pathetic lives pol because soon your nazi guns are going to be confiscated and you'll be sorry then
>>34126874
Many/most 1889 carbines were upgraded and referred to as 1889/16
Someone say "Mausers"?
>>34126106
>>34125562
Spanish Model 1916 short rifle, second pattern, with the crest of the Guardia Civil. The crest was applied after the Spanish Civil War.
>>34126539
Nice carbine.
>>34126575
Belgian Model 1889/16 carbine.
Don't have too much to offer in the way of mausers.
Here are my 93/95 ZAR South African Republic Mauser and my factory new condition Israeli reissue k98k in .308.
I've got a swede m96 lying around in my safe as well.
>>34126916
I have found mention of it, yes. What I have not found yet is what the to-16 conversion actually involved.
I have three k98 projects going. They are based entirely on mismatched parts lots mostly bought online, so it is a puzzle of another word to figure out what is even supposed to fit together. So far I am finding Spanish, Turkish and G98 parts mixed in. Fortunately I like the research and the jigsaw puzzles and have no intention of selling the results.
How much would a Swedish M96 go for? I've got one with all matching parts, the wood is in great condition with no noticeable scratches or any of that, and the bore is still pretty good. Only problem is there's one little black spot on the handle of the bolt. Not planning on ever selling it though just kinda want to know the value of it.

>>34126106
What's it chambered in? I've got a 1916 Spanish Mauser in 308, looks identical to yours.
Fun as hell to shoot, although the last time I was shooting it, it had a complete case head separation. I was shooting Tulammo, but I've got to get some gauges to verify headspacing.
>>34127192
Careful m8, those actions aren't speced to .308 strength. They're chambered for 7.62 CETME, which is dimensionally the same, but much weaker. If the gun isnt running .308 smoothly, I wouldnt push it.
>>34127185
>How much would a Swedish M96 go for?
$300-500 is the going rate for m/96 long rifles with no rare characteristics.
>>34127206
That would be the smart thing to do. I've put around 120 rounds through it, all Tulammo, and it's ran perfectly up until that last shot.
Can I join?
>>34128252
Great collection. What is the number 3 from the far end?
>>34128266
Another Spanish or Belgian?
>>34128278
Is the bottom one tube fed and using a flash hider?
>>34128464
Spanish Model 1893.
>>34128509
Ah. So the Spanish receivers don't have a thumb recession on the left side?
That's the stock on the rifle
>>34128543
>So the Spanish receivers don't have a thumb recession on the left side?
They introduced a half-depth thumb cut starting with the Model 1916 short rifle. Sometimes older M1893 rifles and M1895 carbines were updated with the cut (at the same time as they were updated with a gas escape hole), but not many. The reason they can't cut all the way down is that the 1893 has the bolt guide rib on the interior of the left side of the receiver, and cutting through it would make the bolt more wobbly during cycling. The Swedish m/96 action moves the rib to the bolt body, allowing for a deeper cut.
That's the other number>>34127192
It's a .308 as well
>>34128489
Its a Fr8, The tube serves as the bayonet mount and as storage for cleaning gear.
>>34128831
FR-7, not FR8. FR8 uses an M98 action.
I need a new stock.

>>34128473
Chilean 1895.
>>34128859
Why? It looks decent to me. The late war stocks where of lighter wood than the early ones.
>>34125562
My new Yugo M98/48. Pre-1950
>>34128859
And a new barrel, new sights, bolt handle straightened...
>>34128923
Anyone know what this sun stamp means?
