Guys I'm looking for a nice bolt action to put a decent scope on. I just want to have one in my collection with the option of longer range target shooting or hunting down the road. It takes usually a little while from them receiving it before it shows up in the online system (where you can track progress), usually a week or so. If you're in Ontario, the exam is sent to the CFO who then stamps it before it's sent back to you, at which point you send it to Miramichi. You might have to wait a month or two to get it back from the CFO.

That also means your NR rifle probably won't like cheap ammo; high quality barrels and chambers made for the best accuracy will be very tight, as close to the bottom of the SAAMI spec tolerance for the caliber in question.
