Fuck no and fuck off tau
>>
tldr

what is it
>>
>>34100814
If your the kind of person that needs something like this in the first place you really shouldn't be trusted with a gun.
>>
>>34100861
Replaces the endplate of a Glock that you can put your thumb on while reholstering like you would thumb the hammer on a hammer fired gun.
>>
>>34100814
How do you use this fidget cube?
>>
>>34100861
Slide plate that moves when the trigger is pulled. Mainly for holstering
>>
>>34100872
Oh wow thats pretty gay.

And watching this jabroni ramble on about it for 8 minutes is god awful
>>
>>34100872
For what purpose?
>>
>>34100894
So you dont shoot yourself when you reholster. Its for idiots
>>
>>34100894
Safety feature to protect your average Glock autist from contracting a case of Glockleg syndrome.
>>
>>34100894
I guess just in case something is inside the trigger guard while holstering it can't go off while you have your thumb on the button.

Although if that is a serious concern for you then the grip safety on an XD probably works better.
>>
>>34100915
>the grip safety on an XD probably works better.

It doesn't. Unlike the Gadget, the XD's safety isn't passive and can lock the gun up if it breaks. Funny, the Gadget ruffles a lot of feathers here yet nobody bats an eye at XD's which is an otherwise problematic gun compared to Glocks.
>>
>>34100938
>nobody bats an eye
Grip safeties have been, are, and will always be retarded.
>>
>>34100938
>can lock the gun up if it breaks
Now I have heard this argument for not having grip safeties a number of times but has there actually been a case of this happening?
>>
>>34100871
>that will never happen to me, because I'm the exception :DDD
>>
>>34100814
oh great more moving parts.
this is retarded, use a kydex holster.

>>34101062
dont be a fucking retard, you wont nd while holstering.
>>
>>34100814
no i keep my finger off the trigger. at least the inventor had the sense to die after trying to sell this stupid thing.
>>
>professionals put their thumb over the hammer holstering their DA/SAs because they can make mistakes
>But I'm too smart to ever make a mistake, so this is useless
I sincerely hope you fuckers ND into your femoral arteries
>>
>>34100814
They don't really have a downside other than being like $50+. I personally wouldn't buy one even if they were $5, but wouldn't whine if I was given a glock with one. They would be useful for cops, who do have to reholster with a sense of urgency, I don't get why so many tactitards want to make a race out of reholstering.
>>
It's a cool idea, I just want to see it tested thoroughly so it's known whether or not it will cause issues.
>>
>>34101826
>asshole breaks into the house
>go find nephews and neice, have to scoop the two boys up and probably reholster quickly
>loloops didn't know my coat's elastic adjuster thingy fell into my holster and now I have a bullet in me
>>
>>34100814
There's literally no downside other than it costing $$.
I plan on getting one, eventually, but there are other, more important things for me to buy first.
>>
I just put one on my G19 which I carry aiwb and my G26 which rides on my ankle. Absolutely not a must have, but it is a "why not?" sort of thing, especially if you actually run drills and train with your gun. I have enough presence of mind to safely holster the gun at the beginning of the day and even during dry practice, but introduce a bit of stress and accidents can happen. Go for it OP
>>
>>34100814
Every glock thread needs this video now

https://youtu.be/Cl9pW43XWeg
>>
>>34100915
why not just do a quick glance at the holster as you reholster to make sure you're not catching anything?
>>
>>34104832
Seems like a decent channel, subbed.
>>
>>34104851
That would obviously be ideal but this whole thread is about a device to get around that.
>>
>>34100814
Nothing says your gun design is unsafe like other company's having to fix potential problems for you. Really seems like an issue that can be avoided with a traditional safety.

Glock "perfection" strikes again.

Striker fags just cant admit that DA/SA is superior in every way.
>>
>>34100814
I carry a Lel Kek P32 and just put my finger behind my trigger when I reholster.

Not that hard retards.
>>
>>34104863
what's next? A $50 device that physically checks your chamber if it's empty or not?
>>
This piece of shit is 80 fucking dollars. Holy shit.
>>
>>34104851
Are you insane?
>>
>>34101857
If that's an issue you might want to have something other than a glock and an active block.

I think they are fine, won't mess with reliability unless you are throwing your gun in mud but at the same time it's a solution for a problem that someone should have probably thought of before buying it.

IMO Glock should buy this and offer the gadget as a factory option if not just an OEM part. It adds value to the design without really taking any away. Craig Douglas, Steve Fisher and other well-known instructors have been testing it for a long time

W-why not just get a hammer-fired pistol? It's not like there aren't Glock equivalents but hammer instead of striker.

If Glock is perfection, why fix it?
If Glock is not perfection, why buy it?
>>
>>34108937
if only other companies could actually make a hammer fired gun the same size as a glock.

>HK
low mag capacity with same length grip
weird habit of making barrel short and grip long
bad triggers

>SIG
not polymer
shit QC as of late
even fatter than a glock

>FN
just shit

>Beretta
for 92 series pistols:
shit sights
shit safety placement
incredible amount of fuckery involved trying to get all the good features in one pistol because beretta literally couldn't sell sex (tfw beretta's fastest selling pistols were both specifically requested by Bill Wilson and Ernest Langdon, and Bill Wilson paid up front for the brig-tacs)
>>
>>34109012
>HK
>lowER mag capacity
Not actually that low. They generally lose two compared to Glocks, and the mags are nicer all round.

Knock the price or the aftermarket (or the price of the aftermarket) instead, that's the real complaint for HKs. Well, that and the paddle release if it's not your style.
>>
>>34106522
Almost same here. The gadget was the second modification I made to my Glocks after new sights. I ended up putting an Overwatch precision DAT trigger shoe on both of them as well though because I was having trigger reach issues

There is the PX4 Compact. I'm not carrying mine as of late and switched to the 19 because it carries much easier.
>>
>>34109397
that's true
i also omitted the Sig sp2022, mostly because holster availability, mag availability is poor compared to glock

i know a lot of people are big on the px4 right now but i am still doubtful. seems like a very lubrication dependent design.

>>
>>34110347
>how many blah blah blah

FN, Beretta, and Sig.

What else do they need to fit your snowflake requirements for a hammer fired Glock? And why do you think the Glock is better?
>>
>>34110401
FNX is 5.45" tall, SP2022 is 5.7", and the PX4C is the right height but can't use normal weaponlights.
The 19/23/32/38 is exactly the right size to serve in a wide variety of roles and nothing on the market directly competes with it.
>>
>>34110401
>not even bothering to list specific models

if you actually knew you'd realize that all of their offerings are either a different size (aka don't conceal the same, dumbass) or have their own retarded quirks. Plus none of them have mags for glock prices and glock availability.

Bullshit like this and it's fanboys are the reason dont own any glocks.
>>
>>34100962
>not in the 2k rounds of my xds existence

While anecdotal, I still trust it and have never had a problem with it. It is worth noting that the xds has gotten finicky after shooting 250 rounds of fmj, then I make it a habit to end my range time by shooting 3 or 4 of my self defense rounds. On this one occasion my gun failed to properly cycle, the hollow points nose were tilted down, unable to feed. I was obviously very distraught so I cleaned it in the spot, and it cycled hollow points just fine.

So not a perfect gun, but with proper maintance works fine. Not a fault of the grip safety though.
>>
>>34110086

at least with the PX4 i'm pretty sure they measured that width at the widest point, which is the decocker, which sticks out a lot. it's similar in width to a 9mm glock in actuality.

>>
>>34114262

>>
>>34114111
I don't own a Glock because for 550 dollarydoos I expect more than Glock has to offer. CZ, FN, Walther, and HK all offer comparable, nicer stock handguns for the same price. Until Glock starts offering LEO pricing ($200 off the price tag) to normies, they can fuck right off.
>>
>>34115664
The glock's statistical advantages over the vp9, ppq, fns/fnx, p07 are pretty obvious. And I have no issue paying for the best product available given that it's not prohibitively expensive. (Even if it was 100 dollaroos more than its competition, that's probably just 15 or so poverty labor hours)

Not either of those anons, but I watched his video and it wasn't much more than a great example of the tacticoolery endemic to modern shooting sports. A 23 year old is in no position to be offering training regardless of any military or law enforcement experience they may have. If he was military he'd at best have five years experience, if he was LE, at best two, but he has none. All he can do is parrot what he's heard or read from other experts, some of whom undoubtedly are parroting things they also got from someone else.

I don't really care that he can put holes in paper quickly. Good for him, he's pretty good at running those drills which he probably rehearsed a lot just for the video. Hopefully he's putting that skill to use shooting 3 gun or something. What I don't like is the fact that he tries to come across as an expert because he's good at running drills.

So you have to have experience in killing another human being in order to be able to teach or communicate ideas as simple as "you don't need $3,000 into your Glock, let me demonstrate what you can do with an OEM one"?

Funny. So my dad, who has never fired a shot in anger in his 9 years in the Marines is more qualified than that guy because he went to bootcamp? That cop who spent 6 years in his agency that couldn't tell you what Gen his "Glock Forty" was is also more qualified than Lucas? Even if he can barely pass his agencies qual?

Keep projecting my man. I don't really like that guy but you're legit projecting because HURR HE WUZN'T IN DUH MELETARY OR LUL ENFORMCEMENT

Google Todd Green (assuming you don't know who he is). One of the best instructors and an incredibly good shooter. He was never in LE/MIL. So fuck off with your arbitrary "2/6" years bullshittery. You won't ever be as good as anyone you try to shittalk.

When did I say all cops and all soldiers know better than him? I'm not saying he's wrong because he's not mil or LEO, what I'm saying is he's inexperienced. He's 23 years old. 23 year olds aren't experts in anything, even if they have talent. He's still a kid.

He's not running a training company. He actively takes courses and stuff, but his business is as an online retailer of accessories. And clearly he's made quite some good business judging by his online footprint. He's offering advice as an actual consumer and shooter. I'm not going to him to learn mindset, tactics, and awareness. But I'll sure take his advice on carry gear and gun handling. He doesn't "teach" things like breaching, executive protection, team movement. Instead he's explaining how he manages to shoot quickly and accurately, and what gear helps him achieve it.

Are you suggesting that people like leatham and taran are incapable of "teaching" how to shoot beecause thry don't have distinguished military/leo service? You really think fucking joe shmoe muhreen vet shoots as well as them?
