Let's have a thread for the little guys of the battlefield.
MBT btfo.
I'll start with the M1918 Ford 3-ton tankette.
Fiat carro veloce.
Keep in mind your average Italian is a manlet. That's how small those things were!
>>34090723
Italian tanks were the best in the second world war
>>34090796
Not even on day one! Not even in Africa anon.
>>34090796
Are you insane or just talking about aesthetic?
>>34090796
Even more reverse gears than Le Frenchies
I want a five road wheel light tank based off the Abrams (with a conventional piston engine) armed with a 105mm gun.
>>34090723
>tankette
More like tanklet.
>>34091692
tankettes are cute
CUTE
All I ever want from life is a carro veloce and a twintail wig.
>>34090796
nice bait
not original poster but i'm pretty sure it was a joke
Would it be possible to in theory, IN THEORY, transform one of these into a lawnmower ?
>"R-Rommel-Kun, you... you promise you won't show anyone these pictures right? bahhh!"
The daddy of all tanklets
>>34090796
The best
>>34093617
Why aren't modern infantry squads given one minitank like this?
Obviously not JUST like that, but you know what I mean
>>34093648
I doubt it would last very long on a battlefield where kebabs have RPG for days.
>>34093691
>kebabs have RPG for days
If that's true, how are humvees still a thing?
Wouldn't any patrol on a humvee get BTFO?
Just cause your small doesn't mean you can't have a big gun!
>>34090723
You could carry that on a big enough WW2 truck
>>34093581
Definitely need more Renault FT-17.
Preferably in wallpaper form.
>>34090796
>Italian tanks were the best in the second world war
Til they met a M3 Light.
cutie patootie coming through.
>>34094521
Not even my final form
>>34094534
Your final form feasted on my scalp.
Worked on the Littlefield Hetz, and dear lord did it suck. Left miles of skin in that thing.
The Jumbo was far cooler. Took a hit from a PAK 40 , shrugged it off, then trackfoddered the gun and crew.
Still wore signs of the splash.. One badass tank.
>>34090796
They might have been, right up until the point where their Italian crews got in and then promptly bailed out.
how do tankettes compared to something like a Wiesel?
>>34093617
Jeez, it's like a combat drone before computers where a thing.
>>34094534
>s-senpai! don't stare at my lower glacis! it's r-rude uguu
>>34093648
It isn't even a tank though, it's being moved by the guy walking
If they made a relatively cheap yet functional version of this to be sold on the civilian market I'd be able to smack Jupiter with the resulting boner.
>>34095812
That would be a modern tankette.
My uncle drove an ontos in the corps.
>>34096288
These always make me think of Chromehounds.
>>34096050
Why don't they use these more often? You could have a squad of infantry, only instead of infantry men, it would be tankettes! Might be an issue in the ME where everyone and their dog has an RPG, but for Africa it would be perfect!
>>34091189
Around 35 tons and 105mm makes it a medium tank.
Light tanks are like 15 tons and have 105mm or less.
>>34096854
We battletech now.
tank police when?
>>34095812
>>34096280
>not a tankette
>>34096288
>when it translates to "thing"
