This reminds me of Glock and NYPD a while back.

Glocks were having frequent Phase 3 malfunctions in NYPD hands using Speer Gold Dots
Glock said "it's your ammo, change to another brand"
NYPD said "fix it or you lose your contract with us"
And so Glock fixed it - they added a bevel to the barrel hood which solved the problem and increased reliability across the board. It was clearly a Glock problem exacerbated by NYPD's choice of ammo.

NJSP is entirely right to be upset about this. If the guns are unreliable with their range ammo (which is surely in spec for 9mm), what's to say that the reliability won't vary from lot to lot of their duty ammo? It's clearly a Sig problem, exacerbated by NJSP's choice of ammo.
