The only real time I came into contact with a staunch antigunner was when I went to a friends house with a toy gun and his mother took it away and broke it because she didn't want anything to do with guns in her house. I go to a uni that has a Ukrainian and Russian professor in the same department. They don't get along too well.

Despite having grown up in Illinois, I haven't encountered too many extreme anti-gunners. I'm not the best at shouting matches so if I think things are heading in that direction I just slide the conversation elsewhere. Luckily I go to uni in Indiana and I'd say half the student body has at the least shot guns in their life and up to a 1/3 own a few. Had one Local Gov and Policy class where we had to do a project on certain policy, and I did one on how gun control is ineffective using verified statistics. Didn't get any weird looks or anything, mainly because most of the class was republican as hell. At least two guys sported infowars stickers on their laptops. So it's been breddy gud so far, have one year left of uni and due to schools location I get limited contact with SJWs and the like, with only one notable exception.
