OP,Knife is good.
A knife is a double weapon. The most knife can stab (like the knife a criminal owns), but the most knifes of the "gangsters" are to dull to cut though thicker denim. If you use it for selfdefence you shouldnt use it for other stuff. Try to make it as sharp as you can and it will work great.

This is my sharpening gear (about 50 and i only use this knife for the reason you said before.

Off handle and remove the black pain. Because its 1095 and you wouldnt cook with it, rust is no problem.

Its very easy to sharpen and you can get it really sharp.

too small for self defense imo.. i have one of the other blade styles... good for concealment but ultimately uncomfortable to wear unless you have it horizontal on a belt. but seriously not really practical at all. try a folder. most likely won't ever get into a knife fight anyways. if you do get into a knife fight theres two ways that it'll end, both of you will get cut to shreds, or you die. just run bro stay safe

2years ago is said why wearing a Knife, its silly and when someone will shoot you he does. Now Germany ha a security chainging (not the good way) and its fucking real that no student wear something for selfdefence! WTF? I think this kind of mentality isnt healthy.
