I'm looking for a full size 45 ACP. Either HK 45 or FNX 45. Might consider other options but really looking for pros and cons between these two. Additionally, I don't know if I want a suppressor, so is there a benefit to the tactical versions?
>>
>>34085274
I have an FNX-45. It is great because it comes from the factory with a mount for a micro red dot and it has a 15+1 capacity with 3 mags. Its a big pistol and has good controls. I like mine a lot. If you can I'd try shooting the HK45 and the FNX.
>>
>>34085287
I would but its hard finding a range with those as rentals. Do you have the tactical or non tactical versions?
>>
>don't want a suppressor

Then don't go tactical. If it's for home defense, I'd go FNX45 just on capacity alone. Both are reliable, have good finishes, pretty aesthetic, and are durable. Hk45 has better ergonomics though. Handle both if possible

Consider the USP 45 match or expert, not as good ergos as the hk45, but better trigger and looks imo
>>
>>34085344
OP again, I know the FNX45 is cheaper. Is the USP 45 a more even comparison cost wise?
>>
>>34085344
The stock triggers on the HK45 and USP are about the same. I'd convert it or try to find the LEM with either though. I'd say if magazine capacity is bothering you that much you can get plus ten extenders for the HK45 if you want them. The ergos on the HK45 are so much better than the USP and FNX it's not even funny. I'd also say if you're looking at a 45 handgun capacity isn't going to be what you're looking for anyway.
>>
>>34085393
Magazine capacity isn't a concern. I was just wondering if the HK45 was worth the extra money over the FNX45
>>
>>34085393
I stated
>match
>expert
Unfortunately hk doesn't offer the match trigger on the hk45, though you can get some of the components
>>
>>34085302
Where do you live anon? Here in NoVA every range I've been to has had them for rent.

>>34085441
Temple Texas
>>
>>34085393

Can you stop with this bullshit already?
>>
>>34085274
Have you shoot a CZ 97 yet?
Cuz that's a comfortable gun to shoot
>>
>>34085452
I have not. Honestly CZs are a pain in the ass to find though. It took me forever to find my RAMI.

Both are great choices although I would get the HK over the FN.

However, there's only one .45 that can be readily converted to

>.460 Rowland
>10mm auto
>9x25 Dillon

Pic related
>>
>>34085446
Ayy I am in Georgetown, TX if you have are ever planning on coming down we can goto the range and I'll let you finger fuck it if you bring something for me. I have the regular FNX45 not the tactical but my brother has the tactical and it is pretty sweet.
>>
>>34085630
Fuck off
>>34085274
Not really related but kind of similar' my friend has a FNS and I have a P30. I like everything about the P30 more.
>>
>>34085783
I would but I just got the word I'm shipping out till November. Would definitely like a /k/ meetup when I get back though
>>
FNX seems like it was designed for mall operators. It also feels like a cheap cordless drill. The polymer on the HKs feels a lot better for some reason.

HK45 is one of the most comfortable 45s I've ever shot. USP is cooler though.

Mark 23.

HK45 doesn't even have factory raised sights and the fnx45 feels cheap.

I've owned all 3 and only currently own a mark 23.

Sig makes a nice 45
>>
>>34085917
I'm new to HKs. Kind of getting confused between Mark 23, HK45, and USP 45...
>>
>>34085947
mark23 is a monster gun, and basically a range toy

usp is the smaller companion to it, and the hk45 is the newer "improved ergonomics" version.

they're all decent pistols. if you're trying to choose i'd recommend handling them all if you can
>>
>>34085921
Sorry for the double post but I already got a 226 and want some variety
>>
>>34085947
>Mark 23 is the king
>HK45 is the try-hard hipster faggot
>USP is the prince who is good but will never live up to his dads reputation
>>
>>34085964
price point wise, which one is comparable to the FNX45?
>>
>>34085981
well, FNX45 is way cheaper unless you're talking about the tactical. otherwise, USP45 is the cheapest.

>>34085967

Ppq then.
>>
>>34085452
>>34085471

You are both right. I would pick a 97 between the three, but finding a 97 in close to NIB condition is more or less impossible. CZ's inventory literally just disappears overnight, it's remarkable how desirable those guns are.
>>
>>34085981
HK45

It has superior build quality to the FN but a much worse capacity with similar ergos. At that point I would buy the FN

However I love my mark 23 to death and it's three times the gun either of those will ever be.
>>
>>34085393
>if you're looking at a 45 handgun capacity isn't going to be what you're looking for anyway

15 rounds of .45 AARP compared to HK45's 10 is definitely something anyone should consider, you dope - especially for home defense or range time.
>>
>>34086006
I tried the CCP and the Creed and I hated them both. I don't think I'll try Walther ever again.
>>
>>34086031

>.45 AARP

That is god damn hysterical.

>>34086039
I feel ya. I'd give the ppq another shot. The creed is dumb and i only own the ccp for the unique action. You can't really put them on the same level. Happy hunting on your 45.
>>
>>34085917
I'd love a Mark 23 but I can't find a good reason to get one over a USP Tactical considering the cost aside from memes, assuming I could only get one. The USP seems like it'd be a good suppressed nightstand gun, while the Mark 23 makes me think it'd only ever be a range fun.
>>
>>34086262
thanks anon
>>
>>34086291
>The USP seems like it'd be a good suppressed nightstand gun
this is honestly why i want one
>>
>>34085970
Your post is so ridiculous it's giving me an ulcer. Crazy faggot.
>>
>>34086291
Why would the USP make a good nightstand gun but not the Mark 23? Both have the same capacity, the Mark 23 is only a little heavier. Both weigh less than a 1911 unloaded and are capable of firing 45 super from the factory.
>>
>>34085921
how is the p227? I was thinking about getting one

I haven't ever handled or shot the HK, but I am in for FNX as being a fucking nice gun.
>>
>>34085393
Lem is worse than standard one.
>>
Neither, get a USP. Preferabbly .45 tactical.
>>
>>34085274
OP have you considered the USP 45? great handgun.
>>
>>34089301
>>34089313
OP here. After reading some comments I think I have adjusted my decision to either the USP 45 or FNX45. I think the the Mark23 is a little out of my price range and from what some are saying the HK45 is just a USP-Mark23 intermediary.
