What is there to innovate? they did the MOS line which adresses the most important development (red dots) in handguns since the actual advent of the Glock itself. it perfectly fits the needs of the casual red dot user. for real slick HPLD red dot mounting, you need to send your gun in to a specialized gunsmith shop anyway.

Pls don't, for I do not care about your drills or your examples. Instead, drop Glock a line and tell them to put some levers on their guns like HK. No less than 5 levers per gun though. Otherwise that would be too little "innovation":

Try clearing a phase one or two malfunction with a standard glock one handed. You'll find it incredibly difficult to drop the mag due to the jam (they don't typically drop free in hot weather where I live anyway due to the plastic expanding). So what do you have to do? Raise your leg and slam your wrist on your leg until you can get enough force for the damn thing to drop. Imagine that in a gun fight, standing there like an idiot on one foot hopping around trying to get your mag to drop so you can put a new one in and put some BB's downrange to save your fucking life.

What do other guns have, literally almost all of them, that the Glock does not to solve this issue? Mags with lipped floorplates. Glocks don't have floorplate lips to save weight and cost...

I don't want to go on it would take too long, but obviously the plastic mags suck when dirt/mud is involved or in any situation where you may need to drop them free while they're unloaded. Then the sights breaking if you rack it one handed.

You know I just thought of something, maybe Gaston wanted us to use our mouths to strip the mags and rack the slide if we're ever down a hand... Hmmm, maybe we've been doing this whole training around Glocks thing wrong. And that's my whole point, you train around the shortcomings of Glocks, while other guns cater to your needs.

The only actual innovations in handgun tech since the 80s has been rails for lights/lasers (check), and red dots (check). Glock had continuously updated the grip to appease "muh ergonomics" fags, but in my opinion they should have stopped at the gen 2. Replaceable back straps on a glock are a meme unless you have Hickok sized hands.

If you had to switch hands because your dominant one got shot/injured, and expended all your rounds while still needing to reload, I think you can handle dropping the mag with your index finger

Ambi mag releases just increase the chance of accidentally engaging them
