Go to any place that does passport photos, bring the little piece of paper with the photo requirements. They will take the photo and cut it to the correct dimensions.

You can smile on the photo, btw.

my PAL and my passport expired at the same time, so now i can have the same awful photo on two pieces of federal ID.

On the bright side, becoming full-fledged citizens actually might make it harder for them to terk err jerbs.

As you may or may not know, the government is incentivizing refugee workers by paying half of their salary. That means any employer who hires refugees only has to give them half a paycheck. Controversial as it sounds, there are companies who have hired underqualified refugees over qualified Canadians, because they only have to pay them half as much.

If they become citizens, then there's no incentive for companies to hire refugees-turned-citizens. They could just hire some random Canadian who is actually more qualified, since they would be paid the same.

I'm not impressed by this result with Scheer. I'm voting Conservative in the Federal election with little hope for a win, as Scheer has more shit on him to make people vote NDP or Liberal. Hell, NDP may get a majority with Scheer leading the party now.

>Although this result may dismay libertarians in Canada and beyond, Bernier’s close second place finish demonstrates that libertarian ideas do have electoral potential with a right-of-center electorate when combined with a healthy dose of anti-establishment populism.
>Should Scheer fail to beat Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the 2019 Canadian general election, Bernier will be well-positioned to succeed him as Conservative leader and take on Trudeau in the 2023 general election.

not even going to bother voting libertarian, they're even worse than the LPC

what's gonna need to happen for me to get off my ass on election day is:
1- Scheer acknowledges that a fuck ton of people wanted bernier more than him
2- Scheer accepts to incorporate some of bernier's policies into his agenda (guns mostly but the more the better)

it's not even about attracting votes, it's out of principle
liberty isn't limited to guns or businesses
liberty is for everything that governs anyone's life
liberty for your online access
liberty for anything that grows within your body
liberty for what your dick can fuck

the government should exist only to provide for the people, not to take any freedoms away because they think they have the moral high ground since they're in power and that everyone else "below" them should follow the same moral code as them
a difficult situation presents itself (ie: refugees) and since you're in power you get to decide what's righteous? fuck no
we didn't elect you to give you power
we elected you to give you the duty and responsibility to do what's best for CANADIANS, not your ideology or for foreigners

It's only legal if the barrel was initially manufactured at that length. Cutting one down below a certain length (18" IIRC) makes it prohibited.

A police station cut down barrels on some shotguns they purchased (870's IIRC). After a number of years, they were sold to (R)PAL holders. This being prior to the LGR being abolished, the eventually realized this and confiscated all said shotguns without compensation.

You sound asspained and are a good reminder of why I should never mention politics.

The thought crimes thing is an utter strawman on your part and you know it, you honestly should be ashamed.

Being socially conservative means two things. Anti freedom, and un-electable in a historically liberal country with an increasingly politically active young generation. You don't need to disagree with his policies to see that they'll cost him dearly in a race against Trudeau
>>
>>34094107
Mad Max was one of the finalists. Even if you had put other people on your ballot, your vote never would have gone to them.

Let's say you have 4 candidates, A/B/C/D.
First round goes like this:
>A35%
>B28%
>C20%
>D17%
Since no one went over 50%, the candidate with the fewest votes gets kicked out.
People who voted for D put other names on their ballot. Let's say their second picks were 50% for C, 30% for B and 20% for A.
So the second round looks like this:
>A is 35% + (20% of 17%) = 38.4%
>B is 28% + (30% of 17%) = 33.1%
>C is 20% + (50% of 17%) = 28.5%
Still no 50+% winner, so candidate C, with the fewest votes, gets knocked out. C voters have their second picks and D voters have their third picks tallied and the two combined come out to 40% for A and 60% for B.
>A is now 38.4% + (40% of 28.5%) = 49.8%
>B is now 33.1% + (60% of 28.5%) = 50.2%
Now that a candidate has over 50% of the vote, the ranked ballot is over.

Did that help?

He said specifically in his first press conference that he's not going to re-open those debates. Don't worry, you can keep being a fag under a Scheer government.

T81 is a native, original format rifle though, they've been making it for decades in large numbers, for their own forces and many forces and police departments around the world.
What I mean is that it isn't a clone of an American rifle like an M305 or a bubba'd version of a Chinese one, like the T97, which was finagled to use stanag mags and 5.56 that it was not originally designed for
>TL;DR: considering they've been tooled up to make this thing for a long time, it isn't some sort of civilian only model, but the mass produced rifle that survived being adopted as an improvement to the Norc AK, which in itself is touted as one of the best AKs around -- I wouldn't worry about Chinese quality in this particular case

BC here, me and my friends did our RPALS last year or so, we all sent them in a few weeks apart from each other and all of them were processed 100% on time.

Make sure your photo guaranteer actually answers the phone, they'll send a letter telling them to answer the phone if they don't and it will take ages.

LGBT marriage and abortion are toxic issues in Canada for Conservatives. The party so much as mentioning them, save to say "we aren't touching that shit" drops their popularity 5%.

This, nobody here gives a single fuck if you want muh fetuses saved, it's about attracting voters who don't.
>>
>>34097667
TL:DR All those require a easy to get licence but are all hard to find and mostly expensive.

AK is prohibited aside from a few Finnish models that are no longer made. You can get them here but they are ~$3000USD
RPG-7 tubes are legal but crazy hard to find again ~$2200USD
RPG-7 explosive grenades are pretty much unavailable to civvies but there are Mil/Leo dealers that do sell them if you somehow get a licence for explosives.
RPG-7 training devices/dummy stuff can be found for usually ~$500USD for training devices.
Makarovs can be had for ~$370USD but have an extended barrel due to dumb laws. But they are real russian made in 9x18, .380, and there are the modern double stack models too. Unfortunately none are being imported right now due to UN sanctions.

why do we have trudeau? because harper was comparatively unelectable versus trudeau.

so, shit for brains, guess what happens when you match up trudeau versus harper 2.0?
>>
>>34099149
Harper was PM for nearly 10 years, he had to go eventually.
When a fuckton of voters see politics as a shallow popularity contest it's no wonder Trudeau won
>>
>>34099214
>voters see politics as a shallow popularity contest
this will continue and only get worse, especially with the expansion of the welfare state and the conversion of all of trudeau's refugees into citizens with voting rights in time for the next election

>>
>>34098976
Harper, whether it's deserved or not... is toxic to voters. Even the mere mention of him earns a pile of hatred from even centrist voters. Andrew Scheer will be compared to Harper, and will 'enjoy' the reputation that comes with said comparison.
