How do you like your Steyr?
I was thinking I should finally get around to buying baby's first polymer striker-fired 9mm, but I didn't like any of the Glocks I've handled and fired before.
I was thinking an M9 or L9 since I don't plan on using it for carry and want to fully appreciate the spacegun aesthetic.
>>34083110
I like it quite a bit, the trigger is awesome, and it fits into my hand great.
>>34083196
What is wrong with any of those, besides memes?
>>34084380
Memes
XDs are the only one I that are pretty shitty because of their magazines
>>34084380
>>34084404
Don't forget that Springfield are traitors.
>>34082058
Hey how come you put a knife through your trigger guard? Trick question, possible insults to follow, I apologize ahead of time.
>>34083196
Woah, you almost perfectly crossed out the good ones and left the hipster memes. Neat!
>>34084435
To prop it up slightly, adds depth to the picture.
between 92fs or cz75 what would you choose?
>>34084508
I'd choose the cz, but it's pretty much preference between those two
>>34084467
Alright, but if it weren't propped up it would appear near as makes no difference identical. The magazine at the bottom of the image is on the same plane and it's virtually parallel to the propped-up gun. Just saiyan it's kinda pointless.
Nice pistol btw.
>>34084508
Whichever fit my hand better. For most people that'll be the CZ75, but they're both great handguns.
>>34084542
I suppose, just something I'm used too I guess.
>>34084508
I prefer the Beretta. Love mine and don't care for the 75. I do love the 97b and the Rami from CZ though
>>34084637
>don't care for the 75
I think you'd better leave
>>34084650
Make me, CZ fag
>>34084508
Depends entirely on how you feel about the ergos.
For me, 75b feels better, though the 92fs is more aesthetic, especially if you give it a stainless barrel.
>>34083196
Looks good to me man.
>>34083110
Just save your money and keep that 5906. Best 9mm I have ever owned. Too bad Im a fuddy five guy now.
>>34084637
>implying you own a 97b
>>34084863
Oh don't get me wrong, I love that 5904 and the fuddy five oh six boat anchor in the pic is probably one of my favorite guns right now, but I my collection is very 80s and I feel like I should throw in something modern and plastic just to balance it out.
>>34084891
Maybe get one of the long barrel glocks since they come with a match trigger. Might be less disappointing.
>>34084874
>you have to own a gun to have shot or enjoy it.
>>>/reddit/
>>34084945
If I were to get a Glock, it'd probably be a longslide or a Glock 30 so I could have a fat, short .45, either way there'd be at least some character to it.
>>34082175
>>34083196
>leaving the LH9 on the list
Literal meme gun with a shit trigger. I might still have one if the DA+ was light and smooth like an LEM V1.
Instead, the trigger springs ahead of your finger, interrupting your pull with a stagey jump that jostles the whole gun--followed by an unsatisfyingly heavy, gritty single action.
It fucking sucks.
>>34082058
Muh handgats
>>34085546
Nice collection Anon. Need a couple inox in there too
>>34085546
Very nice, I would say you need a glock to round out the collection, but the USP covers that polymer wondernine slot beautifully.
>>34085719
Well the USP is a 45, and I'm not a big fan of glocks, I might eventually pick up a glock 29 for a small 10 millimeme gun. Yes the USP is beautiful
>>34082058
I'm looking to get a 9mm handgun only shot the px4 and 92fs which one should I get?
>>34086282
Basically any modern 9mm handgun that's at least the size of a Glock 19 makes for a good first gun.
Go to a store and fingerfuck a bunch of ones that seem interesting to you, or possibly rent a bunch at a range and try them out.
>>34086282
>>34086395
It's worth noting that you shot both polymer and metal framed pistols, so you can use that info to help guide your choice. Generally poly is easier to carry, but metal is easier to shoot.
>>34083196
Found the gayboy.
According to CGW the P-01's slide stop will perfectly fit the RAMI so that's one of like 12 different changes I plan on making.
>>34086622
Yeah I'm just trying to choose between those 2. The 92fs looks really nice, love the metal aspect, i think metal is always more durable. As for the px4 the grip is slippery to me but less thick than 92fs so I'm not sure what to make of it, love the rotating barrel. Px4 cost less too but then again I feel as if the 92fs will last longer without parts replacement.
Dunno what to get, but does anyone own either of them that can give long term insight?
>>34083196
I'd cross out the Steyr but other than that you're golden.
>>34084874
Why wouldn't he own a 97b?
>>34087541
There are none for sale
On mobile, can't put post the pic, but should I get a Ruger Security Six for $400? I want that .357 for innawooods
>>34082058
Would a Smith and Wesson Model 629 or Model 69 look better in this collection?
>>34088112
They're for sale all the time online, you retard.
Just picked this up last Wednesday. Haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet because I got PRK eye surgery right after picking it up and only just today am I able to fucking see anything. Wan't to get a set of slim grips to go with it at some point then be done with it.
Didn't get it to be some elite tactical operator, this would be the last pistol I grab for a bump in the night. Just always wanted a 1911, and if your only gonna own one of them I figure a series 70 colt is the way to go. Only picked this model because it had novak sights (might switches these out to standard 3 dot sights since the one that comes on them is brass dotted) and had the good looking roll mark.
g43 vs cm9?
also, how do you guys feel about the ppq? i want to get the site milled for RMR and cowitness with tru glow tfx pro but they don't have "high" or "suppressor" height sights as they do offer for the glock for example, would the glock ones fit?
>>34082058
>>34082058
>>34088801
also where would i find a place that would change the slide for me for the RMR? the ones i've seen only do glocks, smith and wesson, springfield but mostly only glocks
>>34083196
this is richfag/poorfag semantics but it's basically correct
can't really just put $300 pistols and $900 pistols in the same category
>>34088654
I guess you havent checked lately, fucknugget.
>see gigantic fat, 50-some yr old fuddlorde in grocery store
>hes browsing bacon like a bookshelf
>he's got a M&P shield compact single stack on his hip OCing with a tucked in shirt (tucked both under the fat rolls and into his pants)
>looking left and right at least 3 times as i pass him
>lovingly caress my expertly concealed P30sc and tell her everything is going to be ok, the poor person won't bother us
>Tactically grab 2 $14 steaks and maneuver toward the organic veggies
>>34089397
>inb4 le Master troll I was just pretending to be retarded.
>>34087044
I have a 92fs and a Px4 in .40, both are very nice. The 92fs has better weight balance, you can really feel how the Px4's poly frame shifts the weight toward the barrel even when it's loaded. Can't speak for Px4 in 9mm, but even .40 is pretty easy to shoot, so I'd say you won't notice a whole lot of difference between it and the 92fs. My 92fs is an old police trade-in so it's beat up, but I've still yet to have any failures, and the Px4 is still working fine as well. Beretta makes quality shit. I prefer the Px4's trigger, but like the weight balance annoys me. The deciding factors for you will probably be the weight and trigger, so try them out and see what you like. Try to rent them and shoot both if you can.
>>34089577
Just checked 2 of those websites and they are out of stock, not checking the rest. Fuck you.
>>34087501
Why?
dumb newfag here
I have the SD9 VE from S&W
I want a new mag
Can someone explain why mags cost as much as they do?
But more importantly:
http://grabagun.com/mag-s-w-sd9-9mm-16rd.html
https://www.cdnnsports.com/smith-wesson-sd9-9mm-16rd-factory-mag.html#.WStZpuvytII
https://www.twotesticlestactical.com/products/s-w-199250000-mag-9mm-sd9-sd9ve-16r?variant=34694679570
How come they're way more expensive on certain websites?
Looking for recommendations on a red dot to put on this. I'd like for co-witness, but not necessary.
>>34089577
Nigga, that site is so fucking shit at telling you whether shit is in stock. It's always wrong.
The quickest way to get a 97b is to buy one off of Gunbroker. There is one in good condition for sale right now, but only one. The other two are questionable at best. Otherwise it is going to Cajun and asking for one of their completely overhauled versions for 1500 dollars, and that will still take 2 months to get to your LGS for pickup.
Guys I want like 3 or 4 mags
Should I buy from here or no?
>>34092563
Most dots should co-witness except Deltapoint Pro, Vortex Razor and Venom. FFIII will be close too but should just barely co-witness.
I'm not much of a plinker, but if I'm going to do it I'm going to do it /k/lassy
>>34092647
Good shit. Thanks, brah. Great Pro Series, too.
Which JHP is that?
>>34092699

Buddy has a 9mm Springfield xd for 500, great shape. I'm new to firearms, he's also selling me a brand new norinco m14 in .308 for 600 with an aftermarket wood stock. Should I go for the springfield?
>>34092779
>>34092774
No but you probably should go for the Norinco.
Look both guns up on Gunbroker and subtract 20% for fair price
>>34083196
Whats so bad about the Hi Power?
>>34092812
He's holding onto the norinco for me already. I'm canada fag so handguns are mostly just a range toy
>>34092812
>>34093334
I'm seeing the springfield for far more than 500cad, is it a pretty good deal?
are there some newfag pastebins I can look at
>don't know if steel case ammo is bad or meh
>not sure where to buy mags and how much I ought to pay
>want to eventually get a better gun but not sure which
>>34094478
>don't know if steel case ammo is bad or meh
Only buy non-corrosive, and it's for plinking only. Nothing else. Make sure the rounds are also allowed at your range because some ammo has very high steel content, and a lot of ranges don't allow that. So check with your range before you buy 1000 rounds of <insert cheap Russian/Brazilian ammo here>.
>not sure where to buy mags and how much I ought to pay
Look at how much the manufacturer sells them for, and then see if you can find them for cheaper elsewhere. Look on Mec-Gar for instance, they make better mags than most manufacturers do.
>want to eventually get a better gun but not sure which
That's up to you my guy. You have to do that research and finger fucking.
